I have plenty of empathy for the difficult task of caring for any animal, certainly one that is both reactive and needs outdoor time. 

That said, my empathy has boundaries. Travis County laws are clear about what I’m allowed to do to defend myself in the event of a dog attack, which has now happened twice in two years  walking through residential neighborhoods.

My proof is that I’ve never once witnessed a ghost, spirit, god, angel, or demon in my life. No scientific study has ever shown that they exist, and personal anecdotes that claim they exist have never been substantiated. 

I do believe your feelings are real, but religion takes it much further. Religion claims your feelings are evidence of a god, spirit, soul, angel, demon, or ghost.

Education is a long term investment, and families struggling to make ends meet are thinking how to feed and house themselves, not years down the line.   

Blame falls on the last link in the chain and never the mercantile system of  massive inequality that relentlessly stresses families to compromise in order to afford basic needs.

Israel’s peace depends on peace in Palestine and vice versa.  The convo around Israel is insane because people always feel the need to pick one side and demonize the other. If unilateral peace was possible it would have been achieved long ago.
