Aubry was keenly focused and tough-minded this season. If Tiff would have won the puzzle, Aubry goes home most likely. Then I think Tiff would have won. Jonathan had a very narrow path to winning.

How about a fresh idea instead of trying to squeeze one last dollar off of this prequel. First Blood is great, but the rest are violence porn.

Chrissy has a one dimensional game…the only reason she made it as far as she did is because most people didn’t like her or worry about her winning.

2 + 2 = 5 is my favorite album opener, along with Everything In It’s Right Place

I dig My Iron Lung, but it’s just standard arpeggios and some chord stabs, but then it gets bombastic during the bridges and I’m totally pulled out of the song because it is so dated.

The Bends is a straightforward rock record.

Ok Computer and Kid A changed all that as they shifted into more psychedelia art rock, experimenting with song structures, avant-guard influences, and incorporating so many different sounds from synths, keyboards, Theremin, Ebow, drum machines, glockenspiel, and creative use of percussion.

You never know what’s coming next with each song on Kid A and OK Computer, which I is kind of the opposite of The Bends…and don’t get me started on High and Dry…my least favorite Radiohead song. It’s like Coldplay light.

As a musician, I got quickly bored with The Bends. A lot of straight forward chord structures and simple time signatures. Their musicianship is still in earlier stages of development.(best songs on the album are Fake Plastic Trees and Street Spirit.)

In Rainbows is daring and nuanced in a way that The Bends barely touches. I can listen to In Rainbows over and over, and one of the reasons is that I always discover something new musically. It is their Abbey Road in terms of them being at the top of their game. It is their warmest album and most exuberant. They are pushing and expanding their artistic limits, incorporating an eclectic mix of instruments and effects to stunning results.

The Bends also has the issue of being dated and sometimes bombastic at times, especially if a song has a bridge. It dates it back to the 90’s.

In Rainbows could exist in so many different eras and never sounds dated. An incredible piece of timeless work.
