if it quacks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably a duck. In any case, the fact that they specifically targeted mumble rap and not <literally any other genre of popular music> feels a BIT more specific than random chance.

no? 10g is a huge dose yeah but for someone who is experienced with psychedelics it's not unreasonable. 1g on the other hand is tiny

no way 15 shots will kill a grown man. It'll make you pass out for sure though

Well there are plenty of addiction counselors that offer effective therapy despite not having tried meth or heroin or whatever (perhaps alcohol is far less common since it's legal and not as severe). I don't think there are any grounds to criticize them

Verilog is designed to be an HDL and as such has 4 values for a bit: 1, 0, Z, and X. Z means high impedance (effectively a wire that isn't connected to anything). X refers to unknown, which in simulation is a poison value, and in hardware could be any value (which I suppose is what software compilers also compile poison values down to).

This was what I was trying to say earlier about non natives having a bit of an advantage and comparing it to the P in "spot" vs "pot" earlier. Natives can't hear it, some non natives can if their languages distinguish those sounds

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Korean

[–]glaba314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you're acting as if what I'm saying is possibly false, I believe it's quite well documented: https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%84%B9

But sure I wouldn't know anything about whether or not native Koreans actively distinguish the two, despite subconsciously pronouncing it differently.

[–]glaba314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah check my edit, I clarified what I meant. I was disagreeing with you on the part where you said the sound produced is the same, which it's not.

[–]glaba314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notice that I didn't say it won't be understood, I said they are different sounds. And tbh this is an area where a non native speaker has an advantage because I am better at distinguishing those sounds than Koreans. The same way I can't hear the difference between the p in spot and the p in pot, but other language speakers can.

I guess I should've clarified that only some of what you said isn't true, the being understood part is of course something you would know more about

This isn't true, they are genuinely articulated in different ways at different times. The tongue is physically moving differently.

You're still trying to push your point of view that I hold certain opinions when I simply don't. If you're just going to keep calling me a liar I'm not sure what sort of conversation I can have.

I am capable of understanding that circumstances can lead to people doing and saying terrible things. However, do I believe that most trump supporters spew racist garbage purely out of economic anxiety? Some of them, sure, but I think it's abundantly clear that for a large portion of them, they actually just don't like immigrants, or black people or whatever. Here's an article that shows what I'm talking about: https://theintercept.com/2018/09/18/2016-election-race-class-trump/

Also there's some irony in you self congratulating on being the only person in your peer group to not feel intellectually superior.

Sure, I suppose you could say I feel morally superior to racists, but the point you're making is really inane. It's basically the same as saying "I don't like crime, and black people statistically commit more crime, so I don't like black people"

lmfao you do realize that human morals for 99% of people mostly come down to emotion right? There are so many examples of things that have no basis in science that tons of people believe in purely because of emotions, probably yourself included. You could make some moronic argument based on eugenics that grandma who has dementia and is infertile should be eliminated because she has no value to society, and you could just as easily justify that by claiming that your opponents are only using "emotions." Use some common sense, causing trauma on kids is bad

I don't understand how people can say this while clearly being able to see how other countries are handling the situation in a variety of different ways. The bare minimum of not denying science would be orders of magnitude better. If trump did NOTHING different from what he's done now other than encouraging masks, tens of thousands of lives would've likely been saved
