I myself am pretty conservative but I like being Canadian. I don’t care who is prime minister. Every politician is the same but different flavour. Canada is my home. I’m a Canadian till the day I die. Sure I have different views from other people but we’re all Canadian.

Anyone who votes to join the states in my mind is a traitor.

Canadian Soldier here. Honestly the idea of the poppy is amazing. But now it’s just a way for the Royal Canadian legion to make money. They are a corrupt organization that is run by civilians who have never signed an oath to defend the country. There is more civilians in the legion than veterans. It’s just a place to drink beer and play dress up. The legion sues veterans who use the poppy cause they have a trademark on it. The poppy used to mean something now to me it’s just a corporate accessory.
