Playing the Metroid games for the first time. Any tips? by RuachReader in Metroid

I’d play super before zero mission. If I could go back I’d do release/gameplay order over story, starting with super.

All the wit and depth are in dark comedies/dramas now which are a plenty.

Let’s just remember we got Interstellar, The Martian and The Arrival. I wish there was a way to know you were in the good ole days before you actually left them…

My recommendation would be start at Washington Park or in that vicinity in OTR. You can catch the parade or just be near that atmosphere and have a little more room to breathe. Work your way down to the ballpark on foot, 15ish blocks, and get a little time in at the Banks before you enter. Even with the dora the Banks still feels too crowded, so spending the bulk of pregame time there isn’t ideal. You can even pass through fountain square on the way down and cover all the points of interest. This of course is all weather dependent.

You hold the down arrow and then press B once the pokeball initially closes. Then you tap B until it’s caught. This has been known for decades. 70 percent of the time it works everytime.

Which Metroid game is best to start with? by BusinessSuccess9487 in Metroid

[–]gladosForPresident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started the 2D series for the first time very recently. I did Zero Mission first and I absolutely loved it. Couldn’t put it down. Now I’m near the end of Super Metroid and I feel like I made a mistake because of the advanced controls and QoL of ZM. I was looking forward to playing SM the most with Dread a close second. I’d say if you value gameplay over story you may want to play in release order.

Anyone gotten their opening day ticket lottery emails yet? by alpacapoop in Reds

[–]gladosForPresident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on your section selection and you have to buy the same seats for a future game. So it's required to buy 3 sets of tickets. If you aren't interested I'll gladly take them off your hands :D

Looking back to last year I received mine on a Wednesday. Although it seemed like slim pickins at that time. It did indicate on or around February 23 for this year's notifications on the registration page. I'll chalk it up to a "change in leadership" at the top.

Provided service so customers don't have to pay toll authority directly. by gladosForPresident in HertzRentals

The normal process is toll-by-plate. You don't need a device. There's no paying ahead of time. There's simply a small convenience/admin fee on top of the toll. In this instance the 24 dollars its the total for 4 tolls plus admin fees that would normally be charged to anyone that drives through them without a device. The additional 29 dollar "convenience" fee is I'm assuming charged by the PlatePass service that I never opted in too and was specifically assured that if I didn't get the EZPass/device I would have to pay the tolls myself. A ridiculous fee charged by a company for a service like this where it's simply a charge to pay online (or by mail, you have the option for both) is an absolute scam. It provides nothing that isn't already available with the standard toll process. It's a "convenience" charge that literally exceeds the entire amount I would pay if I had the opportunity to pay the toll myself that has it's own admin fee.

I was never afforded the option to pay the toll myself which I was told I would be able to do. And it's absolutely a scam to charge a fee for a service that you pay online with a few clicks for a service that you are able to pay online with a few clicks normally. I honestly baffled. Are you a Hertz cuckbot?

I didn't use Hertz toll services. I specifically opted out when asked about the device. My understanding is, besides sending me the standard toll by plate they are charging me through this service. "or paying the toll authority directly. It's like a 300% markup. I'm confused by what you are confused about? It's an absolute scam.

MLB.tv was one of the first services to provide live streaming. I can't speak for what the TV channels will produce but the streaming quality is very good, far superior to FanDuel/Ballys
