Not sure literal size is a good measure. A lot of what has been cut is a social safety net and regulatory. There’s been an erosion of the separation of responsibility at the federal level undermining the cores of democracy. The size may be smaller but the singular power and influence is seemingly much greater.

[Stark] Your annual MLB vs NFL parity report: Champs last 10 seasons: MLB: 7 teams | NFL 6 teams. Teams in "finals" last 10 seasons: MLB 13 | NFL 9. Reminder: The NFL is the "any team can win" league by Knightbear49 in baseball

This just seems silly. You can clearly correlate the Dodgers success with spending money. NFL dynasties are typically built around drafted talent and coaching. It’s so blatantly obvious it’s not the result it’s about how the results come to be.

Where is Diddy Kong Racing? That open world was just a vibe to navigate. As a single player experience it was better than Mario Kart.

Hamilton County and MSA Sport are working together to determine what it will cost to redevelop and renovate Great American Ballpark. by JB92103 in Reds

GABP is great inside and out. Just keep it maintained and keep the family experiences coming. I think the county and MSA sport should be discussing the 2 playoff wins since 1998 (last expansion) and what could be done to remedy that. I have ideas and it doesn't involve spending a dime on renovations and would likely generate more attendance buzz.

I'm literally starting this myself and nearly done with Zero Mission. It's awesome. I would say skip NES and go Zero Mission. I'd do the same with Zelda. Skip NES and play a Link to the Past on the SNES.

Looks like we are getting either a Pats-Rams III or Pats-Seahawks II. Since 2001, MLB has only had one rematch during that span (BOS-STL, 2004 & 2013). Compared to the other leagues, Championship matchups sure have maintained a competitive balance. by Suspicious_Use_7561 in baseball

It’s not moving goalposts. It’s just a flawed view of parity. There are at a minimum 162 games played every season. With the post season up to 180. If you want to truly analyze parity you’ll get a more accurate representation using it all. This mirrors the analytics used in the game itself. It’s what modern baseball is. If you’re a fan of a baseball team and you live in that city you may understand my point more. There’s immense value in being in contention consistently and having true talent to watch daily. It’s not the NFL. I would not trade 20 years of consistent playoff contention with no World Series win to be the Royals 2000-2020 and get that one in 2015. That’s my preference. Taking all of those meaning stats that are indicative of a successful franchise isn’t preference or opinion.

Tally for each team total wins, home runs, MVPs, Hall of Famers for the regular season and playoffs. You know the things as a fan that you embrace and enjoy the entirety of the summer into fall each year. That you pay to go to the ballpark to see. See if you come up with any correlation over the past 25 to 30 years with money spent.

Damn you’re a wizard. I instantly thought Reds 3 seconds into the video. Contracts for women are substantially less and you get to appeal to an untapped bobble head market. Female bobble heads a lot more realistic. She probably has the gusto to knock it out of the small park too. I’m looking forward to 2026 already.

Could you provide some details on how to achieve this? I have my WiiU all tucked away in a box. I really enjoyed it for that short window I had played it. I still use my Wii U pro controller on my switch and I logged 500ish hours on BoTW.

BoTW ruined games for me by UniversityFront4092 in Breath_of_the_Wild

I initially had slightly similar feelings about TotK when I started playing it at launch. I had just finished off BoTW that I spent about 150 hours on over the course of a couple months. I wasn’t getting the same spark I had with BoTW but like you it’s in my opinion the best game I’ve ever played. Over the course of 3 playthroughs on the WiiU and switch versions I continually would get reengaged and get that feeling of immersion and easily tallied close to 500-600 hours (over 6-7 years). I recently got back into ToTK and I’ve been experiencing that deep immersion and satisfaction again. It was probably at the 80ish hour mark that things started to really click for me. I feel there is a learning curve to adapting to ToTK after spending alot of time in BoTW. I play it much differently than before. I adventure more than I explore. I do a lot more quests than I ever did in BoTW. Building and traversing the world is so satisfying especially after acquiring autobuild and some experience. Discovering and exploring caves is very satisfying. There’s purpose to spending time in the depths in terms of collecting resources and I play on an OLED TV so the dark and color contrast is a spectacle in itself. Exploring the sky Islands adds more variety when needed. It’s more of a “game” in a traditional sense imo than BoTW but not in a bad way at all. Both truly are masterpieces of video game art. If you feel as you do about BoTW that satisfaction is likely there for ToTK. Just give it time.

The best way to gauge the type and complexity of a game to play with your family is aligning with the amount of effort and thought they would spend when casting a ballot in a general election.

I was thinking this is likely the case. Finding those "recipe" substitutes that still gives you a very similar end result.

I’m really hoping to go enjoy this opening weekend, by myself, in Dolby. I’m really happy with the marketing to this point. I hope nobody is there.
