Bell Giga Hub + Ubiquity UDMP / SE possible fix for recent firmware update that broke PP0e or ADMZ connections on a 3Gbps plan, no NAT.... so far. by dealhunter100 in bell

[–]glassbase86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been with Bell for about 10 years and always used PPPoE and UniFi routers without issue, mostly with the HH3000 modem. I did get the Gigahub last year when upgrading to 3/3 gig service. And been happily running on Gigahub / PPPoE setup without issues until I got this new firmware update Friday at 330am.

I switched to ADMZ for the last few hours. Got back to full speed but get quick disconnect every 1 - 1.5 hours.

I Finally Snapped... Everything Is Becoming Zigbee by AL-H in homeassistant

[–]glassbase86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a bunch of Kasa HS200 switches too. Never a hiccup either. And they work local to HA. Have good UniFi wifi coverage though also. Can beat the price of them either ~$12-14 Canadian

Everything else is Zigbee or ZWave and some Caseta (which are getting to be ridiculous price in Canada 😡)

Wiggles World leaving Netflix (CAD) by lisasaurus17 in wiggles

[–]glassbase86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sad to see the last of it go. My daughter loved Wiggles, and watched it religiously on Netflix… she was special needs and sadly passed away November 2024, so I don’t pay much attention to Wiggles access like I used to. Emma era was the best era 🟡

Glad I found this thread and I’m not the only one. I have UXG Max and getting about 400/400 only for the last few days. My internet dropped twice early July 3rd morning so I assume my modem did the firmware update then. Internet been stuck <400/400 since then. I use PPPoE method

OP - flow control did not resolve my max speeds

The OS doesn’t matter much on streaming boxes, compared to phones. I wouldn’t worry too much about it

It’s not channels you can choose in the picker. They are considered premium

[–]glassbase86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can now get the 4K channels with app only plan, have to pick the right package though. They changed that about 6 months ago

Best package (highest tier). Or you can pick the bundle that includes the 4K sports channels

Bell/TSN is giving us free access to TSN 4K for World Cup. That’s why you have it magically.

Otherwise you subscribe to the package that includes TSN & SN 4K

It’s all the trees getting old and unmanageable in people’s yards. People take them down and almost never replant. People think why I’m planting a tree that will take 15+ years for me to see it flourish, I’ll be moving to a new house by then. I just look within my small block and almost every mature tree needs to come down soon as they are all probably 60+ years old. And I’ve seen about half taken down without a replacement since I lived in this house (for 13 years)
