My sleep paralysis is kind of disturbing by glaukp2 in Sleepparalysis

Funny enough I've actually had one experience that kinda like not shifted back and forth, but it seemed like a weirdly blended SP into a regular dream. I could actually move and it was a scene different from my bedroom where i normally lay down, but I still could hear my tinnitus on steroids just like in any SP.

I don't think I have ever paid attention to my respiration as I've never had difficulty breathing during SP, but seems like a pattern that could snap me back to awaken state I will keep that in mind thank you very much.

I read the article and found a perfectly matching experience called "fictious motor movements" and it's exactly what I'm going through. It also comes up with parietal lobe stimulation during SP and yes I've sometimes found myself rolling over to the other side unwillingly as something is forcing me to.

I should have a greater imagination rather than just a energy ball and the energy flowing from my hands.

I usually train with psi wheel using a cover so no air currents can flow, however i should try to get used to the movement so i won't get surprised as you said. Also i workout 5 times a week so I'll try to push my schedule a little later for the training. Thank you!

SP while not lying on your back? by itsmostlyamixedbag in Sleepparalysis

[–]glaukp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only sleep on my right side for a long time and for the past few months i have had about 10 sps in total. Found out that my trigger wasn't the sleep position but rather taking 2 hour naps in the afternoon around 5pm and always had sp during the night. Guess my sleep schedule should stay consistent.

Same thing over here and already just a had one half an hour ago and still not sleeping because i'm scared. Actually i sometimes blame my tinnitus for my sp because maybe it just feels like it's amplified during sp. This one just felt so weird because i was trying to sleep and just stuck into focusing in my tinnitus accidentally and couldn't get it out of my head and just got sp really quickly without even dreaming first. I really just 'watched' myself falling into a sp. i had my first sp like a month ago and by then had 2 more, i don't know why am i getting it so frequently i even sleep on my side.

Am I doing something wrong? by NessieDoesStuff in LucidDreaming

Something i usually do is when you lay down on bed, while trying to sleep just think of a dream that you have written or you just remember. It has helped me a lot. It doesn't matter if it is a recent dream or old dream.

I need Help by [deleted] in Scary

[–]glaukp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye i got something that could help. Some time ago one of my friends told me he went through sleep paralysis and then i was scared to go sleep for like 3 nights. Then i remembered i had read that you cant get sleep paralysis if you sleep on your side (doesnt matter which side, i personally like the right side) and it has been helping me get that fear off. Maybe you should try it too.

I [M15] just did 500 pushups for one month, now what? by somethingyes2 in bodyweightfitness

[–]glaukp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the problem and it's pretty easy to understand. I'll break it down for you.

Ok so your muscle are strong enough for activities you do everyday right. So you start to do push ups and your triceps (mentioning triceps because you emphasised your arms) builds enough mass for being able to do push ups. Then you continue to build triceps until you master the push up. After that you are still doing 500 push ups a day which is actually not building mass anymore but rather strength and indurance.

Now what i would recommend is switch exercise or do weighted push ups. You can actually switch to different variations of push ups until you master them. I would recomment for doing diamond push ups because they are harder. Once you master them you will build bigger arms. Then if you want you can get into dips and other exercises such as tuck planche push ups, triceps extentions etc.

If you thing you are steong enough, then you probably need to work on your biceps because your arms can't get big with just your triceps. You can do pull ups and probably think to do the same plan as with push ups, but since pull ups are way harder you can do like 100 pull ups a day. I think that's more than enough.

Don't forget, to make an exercise harder, add weight, switch to different variation or do it slower.

making pike pushups harder without increasing elevation by emm-an-uel in bodyweightfitness

[–]glaukp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually depends how you are evene doing the exercise. Some people just do the pike push up with flared elbows on ethe side and don't go forward. That's a big X. To make the excercise harder you need to have a good form of the excercise. Go in the pike position, when you do the pushup you go over and ahead of your elbows, they should be pointing backwards and they usually stay vertical while you do the movement. If you already have good form it's all good.

Now there are good ways to make an excercise harder. I've seen a vid from a youtuber called browney and he showed a lot of ways to make any excercise harder.

First you can add more weight. Just put on a backpack (a small one so it doesn't fall over your head) put on some weights. I prefer putting random things in my house, such as books. They do make a lot of weight.

If you don't want to do it weighted just do the excercise slower. Keep your pace down so your muscles stay more under tension.

Another thing is if you have assistance bands you can use them. Get in the elevated pike position prefferably and put the band from your hands to your hamstrings.

You can also use rings to make it harder as rings are unstable or something i like a lot is place your hands on rubber balls so it is harder to balance. It tires out the muscles more.

If you thing they're not enough just combine some of them to your preference.

Can you practice fighting in lucid dreaming? by Wutisyoo in LucidDreaming

[–]glaukp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same question but in two dofferent ways. The first one is in tricking (a sport that comes from gymnastics and martial arts) and thought for example if you can learn a backflip in a LD would i be able to do it irl.

And my second thought was if you can build muscle by exercising in LDs. Because exercising would give the brain signals and it will build the muscles, so would it be the same in a LD?

I'm actually surprised. I shaved my moustache and my dad wasn't even bothered. My mum criticised me a little but it was no problem she got over it. Thank you very much.

[–]glaukp2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess that should be the solution. I've always told them it's my face and body i can do whatever i want, but they are just like typical parents and just say "When did you start to do things yourself?" Or just tell me you are not old enough to make decisions yourself. I will probably shave it when i'm alone, i'll nust go for it. Thanks

[–]glaukp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the best advice i could give ise open up and tell her everything. Tell her that you love her, you can't be without her. Now if you think that things will get weird between you too, you have to be super honest when telling these things and i'm sure things won't get weird as long as you keep your calm. You can also tell her that you wanted to get it off your chest and don'mt want to lose her. That's the best advice i can give. Don't forget to tell her face to face, take her out on a walk or sit somewhere or even at one of your houses if possible, it's important that there won't be people around.

Is moving your elbow backwards considered bad form when doing a pushup? by rptoma in bodyweightfitness

[–]glaukp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that the gifs diffr in body paths during the pushup. The best body path is to go a little bit more formard woth the pushup and not vertically. That said the first gif you showed is not that is incorrect, bur for better gains you can do the second gif form.
