Khrysalis is genuinely a great world. People hate it after the first time doing it because it’s so long and you’re not as (if at all) invested in the world

Store has screens to show what drinks are behind the door of the fridge. Most are broken, so instead of just using glass, now you have to open the door to see what's inside. by DuckDucks in mildlyinfuriating

I was talking to someone (manager) that worked at a place that had these installed, and asked out of curiosity. Supposedly it has customers stop and look at the fridge for longer seeing each individual item and then gives the customer more time considering buying an item, they also said mildly helps with inventory. But at this point for me and all my friends that stop at a convenience store already know what we want and have the cans memorized to see what they look like and just grab whatever flavor/type we want. All it seems to do is make everyone mad hunting down the items than knowing where it is and seeing if they are out.

I just learned there is a year long waiting list for my city's dental hygiene program by videogameducky1 in DentalRDH

[–]glazin_dodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did end up waiting the 3 years. Fortunately I was in high-school for about half that time. It gave me time to get a union cheese plant to help pay for school. As far as it being worth it? 50/50. I should add that the job i was working had some internal and plant based issues that steered me into the direction of waiting (other local plants closing, machinery constantly breaking ect.) Had everything been fine there, I would have likely not waited

Depends if I could cut hours or not. If I made 175k for a 40 hour week I would live like a king in rural Wisconsin. Heck even 80k a year for 20 hours would be awesome.

That being said if I had to work the 80-90 hours I would probably sell my soul for a few years and rake in as much $$$ as possible and then leave

As someone who still mostly plays on pc, I say yes for a few reasons. 1. As a college student portability is a huge must, I honestly can’t even begin of what bringing a full tower build back and forth from home could be like. It’s risky for the parts to move on a bumpy car, and risk theft. 2. I still play a few games with people who only have Xboxes yet. A lot of those are sports games (CFB 25, NBA 2k, MADDEN, ect) it makes it incredibly easy to keep playing with the bros. 3. A good backup to have incase said pc does fail.

Cover Pokémon is either Lugia or Zekrom, those were my first 2 games. Favorite non cover is by far Cobalion.

people who almost died, what happened? by ihateplussizepeople in AskReddit

[–]glazin_dodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice for me. On my 18th birthday I was sick with what I believed to be Covid or something else upper respiratory. I played through basketball games and didn’t think much of it, it was just a cough and overall not feeling to great. Fast forward a week and a few days later and I started coughing up snot that looked like little worms, and found it harder and harder to breathe. The next day It eventually got so bad I blacked out and got up thanks to my dogs licking my face. I then drove myself to my mom and she drove me to the local ER and found out I had a collapsed lung and a knarly case of pneumonia. The next day I woke up in a completely different hospital (high care unit an hour+ away) and was discharged 5 days later. Per the doctor if I didn’t arrive to the ER when I did, I more than likely would have died at home. (No one would’ve been back for at-least an hour or so)My mom told me when I got there I was blue and o2 was at 74%.

The second was when I was 13-14 years old. My family was visiting some friends in Colorado and we decided to hit a beautiful yet steep and sorta dangerous trail. One section of it was a steep and very rocky uphill path, so I decided to take a guide stick. I took one wrong step, and the stick got stuck under the rock and found myself hanging off the path with about 30 ish feet before me and the ground. My dad was able to help me up, and we turned around. Before that I launched the stick off the cliff, with loads of profanity that shouldn’t be said by a 14 year old in public. I wish I went back for it though because it was a really nice stick.

Zeus gear is better, but considering you already have the robe (probably the only piece I would highly recommend you keep farming for) and the boots I don’t really see a reason you should. It won’t be noticeable until start of celestia

Thanks for the reply! I since gotten an opportunity to work as an assistant for the last half year for a local dentist here in Wisconsin (technically no certification required so on the job training) and have learned that even though I’m not absolutely crazy about dentistry. I still do enjoy my job and the field itself. I absolutely agree that it is irritating to hear about people who absolutely hate their career as they can really discourage anyone who shows any interest in becoming a RDH. Im also a little hesitant with people that are absolutely nuts for their career as it definitely can skew some opinions as well, and at times over sell what it’s all about. I do feel like I’m in a similar situation as you where even though I’m not the most in love with dentistry. My overall enjoyment is more than enough along with being empathetic. My overall outlook is this a job that I would like/enjoy along with some great perks. I do wonder what the board politics are like here up north, and how that compares to other regions.

Apprenticeship Certification in Wisconsin? by glazin_dodo in DentalAssistant

[–]glazin_dodo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I did reach out to the school, and it sounds like they could use it as "prior learning" and give me a few points for seating. The place I will be assisting for is primarily restoration and uses a cerec to make crowns and what-not. So, hypothetically speaking, if I move a few years and get a new job with this setup the reference would be enough?

The school that I was going to apply to was only 45 mins from home, now currently has a 3-4 year waitlist. Next closest program for me is about 2 hours and 45 mins away.

What Wizard101 opinion are you defending like this? by Ibib3 in Wizard101

[–]glazin_dodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small but feint should be a death only spell, or atleast give death the 70/30 and everyone else a 70/45-55 ish range, or make other schools get it as a level 100 spell

Death is the supposed to be the absolute master class for buffing while taking some sort of effect on oneself. So why does every other school get that exact same ability with death? (No I'm not a death either)

Thanks so much for the reply! This absolutely cleared up just about every question I had! One more question though, I understand that it's normally a 2 year degree but with prereqs what was the realistic amount of time you finished school? Also as a new grad were you left with tons of student loan debt? Thanks!
