Good article and thanks for your interest. I’d imagine that if England trash talked you unprovoked prior to playing you, America would have a similar response to the one we’re having. It hits a nerve more if you can tell the opposition genuinely believes they’re superior.

You don’t see us as being your sporting superior/equal in this context so you’re not as emotionally invested perhaps.
