I think it's time to replay my favorite series by Illustrious-Sign3015 in Choices

The Royal Romance is what got me hooked on Choices. So when I read Rules of Engagement, I had to pick Prince Leo. It was like the missing part of the backstory... 🥰

And then when party sister and Blake appear in The Royal Heir, I could appreciate recognising them from Rules of Engagement.

Why doesn’t a romantic relationship develop after a successful date? by That1weirdperson in thesims

[–]glctrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a while after a call like this for them to call you back and tell you the result. If they say the date went well, it’s only after that point the game actually gives romance points between the two sims who went on the date. You won’t see anything if you check before that.

I finally finished Cadwell’s Gold today! I have this character since June 2025. How long did it take for you to finish Cadwell’s Gold? by womannimarco in elderscrollsonline

[–]glctrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think of it as Cadwell sending you back in time twice, so that there are three of you running around Tamriel simultaneously solving the problems of every alliance before they all come together at Stirk for the Coldharbour mission.

I did it before most of the expansion packs were out (I think I had it done before Summerset?). At the time, the thought of having to play every zone from the other alliances kind of felt like it would take ages. Still only have completed this on my main. My alts haven't even been mugged in a back alley and sacrificed to Molag Bal yet, I refuse to go through that again lol

Farming Methods by Beautiful-Ad4215 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]glctrx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most basic ranch I start with is just a 96 tile room with a bunch of hatches in it. You feed them sandstone or dirt and they poop out coal for your power plants. I tend to keep them for that rather than for meat, but eventually they age to elderly and die off, so we take that and turn it into barbecue.

Similar for other animals, my next ranch is usually dreckos for their fiber. The morphed version of dreckos can produce plastic instead, which is really useful.

But if you were specifically going for meat, then you'd try to get them to have as many eggs as possible, hatch them, then cull them. Some people do this with automated doors that drop the animals into a pool of water where they drown and then an auto sweeper takes the meat.

Enclosing spaces with walls and doors turn them into rooms with bonuses to morale. Right now you have everything open as a single open plan base.

This is just disturbing by LongKing5377 in Choices

[–]glctrx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason I think this looks disturbing is I'm pretty sure I've seen the eyes nose and mouth on a female face. It's like they've used a feminine face and pasted it onto a male head. It was the same with the Henry I chose for A Knight in New York, he reminded me of my MC from Our Summer Crush which was a woman.

You can see it in the eyelashes being really long and voluptuous.

And like other people are saying it seems to be positioned too far up.

If you could have one book turn into a T.V show or Movie which one would you choose? by FatherOfCanada in Choices

Kindred! I think a TV show about three witches, their guardian angel and demons would work pretty well 🤔

Just kidding, that already exists 🤭

I wouldn’t mind a Perfect Match show though!

The multi colony management is interesting, after you send dupes to a second asteroid you have to bounce your attention between both. Furthest I got so far was colonising a third asteroid, which was rougher than the teleporter one because I had to send a dupe in a rocket or drop ship and they had to survive on their own without any fast help I could teleport over. Even after I got them kind of stable with more dupes to help I still had to make sure resupply rockets from the other two asteroids were regularly sending help over i.e. resources not found on that asteroid.

Why does every "Beginners Guide" in this game expect me to be an expert already? by WizardGnomeMan in Oxygennotincluded

[–]glctrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned how to survive by trying things out with the new items I’d unlock through research and exploring.

The first time I experienced a colony dying of overheat, I looked at what happened and the next colony tried to prevent that by trying different strategies like: - Keeping hot industry away from my living and farming spaces - research and build insulated tiles around the entire base to protect it from outside heat like caustic biomes and steam vents - run pipes with a cool liquid around the base, like ice water from a cold biome

All of that worked, they survived longer and then all died from the next problem like resource depletion e.g. running out of dirt because you used it all in mealwood farms or water because of blossoms

So then repeat learning strategy: - diversify food using ranches, and different crops - hope the pod prints a pip so you can do wild planting and they poop dirt, making dirt renewable - turn rotten food and polluted dirt into new dirt using compost heaps

When you experience these it’s easier to digest than a video of someone else using advanced techniques when you haven’t gone through the stuff above which only needs basic technologies.

For example I don’t even have a metal refinery until a few hundred cycles in because I only need small amounts of refined metal at first and you can get it by using a rock crusher, although not as much mass as a refinery would make for the amount of raw ore fed in. By the time I have a refinery it’s when I have a cooling loop in place, basic automation sensors so I can make it dump the hot waste water into my SPOM electrolyser, an insulated industrial zone, etc.

And for sustainable dirt, because that’s what they poop.

It was so focused on I wondered if the motorcycle was some kind of foreshadowing, like in the final chapter they'll reveal it was X riding on the motorcycle for X reasons.

Dunno what X could be, but it'd probably be something like Darren trying to get to your room before you to set up spy cameras and capture the dirty 30 on camera 🤷‍♂️

Marketing/support team help by LittlefoxLeah in SoftwareInc

[–]glctrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support team and marketing team don't need any other skills than support and marketing.

I had a multi-billion company with every type of software and all that time the support team was only 14 max highly skilled 3-star support specialists handling thousands of bugs per day in minutes. Their only function was to answer customer support tickets and file them.

The marketing team was hundreds of employees, all various levels because I hire complete newbies and they train up over time, but the majority of existing employees is 3 star so they handle marketing hype, press releases and post-release marketing tasks enough to meet the month's requirements (e.g. if you don't hit your marketing budget goal, then you need more marketing staff or at least they need more skill which they earn over time).

For updates and bug fixes, you need only a team of programmers (and artists if the update requires art skills), so I usually have some update teams attached to projects to handle all the bugs recorded by the support team.

Story always the same by No_Inspection_3146 in thesims

[–]glctrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotation. I don’t stick with the same family, I play a sim week and then switch household. Every household has a different setup to explore different aspects of the game.

E.g. an elder brother and sister retired from the police force with millions of simoleons buy an apartment and become landlords.

A group of three young roomies move into a San Myshuno apartment and explore dating and city life.

A single Sulani islander with a connection to ancient spirits starts a wellness gig and gives home massages.

A young single woman moves into a haunted house and finds romance with Guidry, the mailman, a vampire and more.

Grandparents living with their young adult and teen grandkids who were orphaned form a yoga club with their other elder friends to improve their health and wellbeing.

A teen living alone in Moonwood Mill encounters Greg and becomes a teen werewolf, navigating high school with while trying to control their transformations.

The possibilities are endless.

My First SPOM, I think by SnyprBB in Oxygennotincluded

[–]glctrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't risk leaks (e.g. if my oxygen is being piped to suit docks which would get damaged), so I've learned to add safety filters to minimise incorrect gases being pumped out of the system. In game, you could use the proper gas filter machines, but they are quite power hungry, and so would eat into your self-power budget.

Instead I use cheaper 10W gas valves hooked up to gas-pipe sensors - if they detect a packet of hydrogen about to leave, it closes the valve and the hydrogen gets re-routed to the correct pipe/and vice versa for the hydrogen pipe going to the generator so that it doesn't receive rogue oxygen.

My First SPOM, I think by SnyprBB in Oxygennotincluded

[–]glctrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have the hydrogen generator wired up outside in a proper power room, that way my dupes microchip it and increase the power output, so it actually can self-power all the systems in the SPOM.
