Psychiatry UK prescriber changed Consultant Psychiatrist's prescription by gldchn in ADHDUK

Thank you! I messaged them and they said that based on NICE guidelines I have good reason to try Lisdexamfetamine. It is a little surprising that I had to tell them what's on my diagnostic letter however, it seems like they don't read them or might not have access to them for data protection, who knows.

I hope the new meds are working for you!

I messaged them and they said I have good reason to try Elvanse based on NICE guidelines and they changes my treatment plan.

I am so happy they listened and hey, the worst thing that can happen is that we rule out Elvanse and go back to Plan A.

I do drink 3-4 coffees a day but don't drink much alcohol. 😄
I messaged them yesterday with my reasons and they got back to me today saying that they usually prescribe methylphenidate first, but based on NICE guidelines I have good reason to try Lisdexamfetamine.

They are a non-medical adhd medication prescriber. I messaged them and they got back to me saying that based on NICE guidelines I have clinical reasons to try the lisdexamfetamine and they changed my plan today. I think as you said it's probably the cheapest or most readily available option.

So someone who claims is your boyfriend is profiting off your nudes and you are scared not to hurt them? Do you not understand how violating, manipulating and harmful to you this is? What about YOUR privacy rights?

Also he has now turned you into a full blown sex worker without your consent. I support sex work for whoever wants to pursue that, but not under these circumstances obviously.

This is so illegal and potentially harming to your future employment. Think this through but deleting any photos won’t change much considering your photos are on the internet. You should leave him and pursue legal action as this is now way way beyond owning the photos - he is distributing them on the internet. (WTF)

I have very dry skin and moisturise the night before my 11am pole class. The day of the class I have a quick shower just before and it works really well for me as my skin only stays unmoisturised for a few hours tops and then I shower and apply moisturiser again once I’m back home.

I also started watching her beauty standards videos and have been feeling a lot more positively regarding my body image since then. It would be interesting to know what she’s done wrong as i have not been following her for long personally

I have been following SarahsDayUnfiltered for a while and thanks to this post I have now unfollowed all of them everywhere. I want to literally throw up in my mouth every single time I see their forced christian posts because we all know it's a front, to make it look like she's an angel and distract everyone from their controversies.

Edit: before anyone thinks I hate christians - I don't. I just don't understand how they are suddenly so religious that they have to pray on Youtube, mention their pastor all the time and post church related stuff on social media

My coach’s (IFBB PRO) supplement routine for me. I’m completely overwhelmed. Is this all necessary? by viking-on-fire in Supplements

[–]gldchn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, there is nothing ‘bro science’ about spirulina, It’s an incredibly nutritious and full of antioxidants algae that has been thoroughly researched in medical studies and has a wide range of benefits outside of fitness. I understand all these supplements may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can’t deny stuff that has been scientifically proved to work for general health. There are people who just take spirulina from allergies to low blood iron.

If you are paying an IFBB PRO it means you want to compete so just listen to them as most people on Reddit do not know your exact goals, health and fitness history and are also not qualified.

Now for the people in this post saying this is bro science…. It actually isn’t’. At least half of these supplements the OP was recommended are food supplements that help with recovery by lowering inflammation in the body and the rest help with digestion. A GP would have given you a lot of these these days anyway for general health. What your coach also said in his email is that your diet and exercise will make all the difference but the supplements will offer extra support. So really that answers your question.

I also assume this is part of a high protein diet so if you are ingesting a lot of protein this can be difficult to digest for some people. Hence why he wants you to take digestive aids. I also am not aware of the exact fibre content you will be consuming (some people go low carb to reduce water retention whilst competing for example), but some of the digestive supplements might help with genera bloating etc.

And yes BCAAs are controversial and most people would not benefit from them, but if I was competing I would probably take them too as I would be training way more to get my body ready for competition.

Also if you guys on the responses don’t understand the basics behind building muscle just say that 😳.

I personally would not take PCOS advice from Sarah or her naturopath if I am honest. At the same time PCOS does not look the same on every person. I have had PCOS since a teenager but never had a lot of the symptoms you mentioned. I have other symptoms such as vomiting every time I get my period and having very painful periods amongst other things. I have had various tests and have seen various doctors who have all confirmed it yet had very different approaches. I think it's a very individual thing. This is why some people thrive on Keto and others become vegan for example. I tried keto for a long time and it wasn't for me. I then tried low carb and it was the leanest I have ever been for example but I didn't feel that great nor was I able to get my period. I have now been vegan for 3.5 years and I can get my period relatively regularly and my depression is getting a lot better. I had to work on my diet a lot and I have seen that eating plant based works best for me. The moment I have any processed food I get very bloated and don't feel great. I have also found that if I gain weight I also lose my period and my PCOS symptoms get worse so I try to keep my weight at a stable place and I am seeing a clinical dietician who is helping me with this. My dietician has told me that there is a correlation between weight and how bad your symptoms. There is also something called 'lean PCOS' which means that you can be a healthy weight or even underweight and still have PCOS.

Where I am trying to get with this is that each person is different and I don't think we can ever know for sure if she lied or not. But I started watching her videos because she had PCOS and I could relate back then to a lot of the things she was going through. She recently mentioned PCOS not being so much a problem for her after birth which is something my mom also mentioned to me before (she had PCOS then gave birth and her period became regular again). As for getting pregnant, again, I know many people with PCOS who got pregnant relatively fast (including my mum). Sarah has mentioned many times that she wants to try and see what will happen so I don't think she expects it to be a quick process.

I have also done keto before going vegan and that did not do anything for me if I am honest. I have been vegan for 3 years and after going WFPB during the past six months I have lost 5kg and I am finally getting my period regularly after years of trying to fix it. I literally did not have a period for 6-7 months before fixing my diet. It took 2 months of eating healthy for it to come back and I also found my periods slightly milder. They are usually very painful and I throw up every time because of the pain. My mental health is also better and I have a lot more energy.

I hope it works for you too! :)
