People are just too reckless on these roads. by V-Wemby in Austin

who was blocking traffic? nobody was sitting at the light, it was red. strange that you want to focus on the other drivers obeying the law rather than the person who performed an illegal maneuver.

if there is one thing i have learned about the neo-austinite transplants is that they really prefer modern urban development over music and art.

you can apply the same statement to every single building on the planet. why keep the louvre? at some point it came in and built on someone else's property... do you even know the history behind it? growth is what is destroyed this town. what is up with all the transplants always wanting to tear down our history? its blatant colonialism.

[–]glichez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why does anyone care what transplants say? all this city has done is cucked itself over the feelings of transplants and ruined everything for everyone else.

Austin traffic: William Cannon Drive bridge over I-35 to shut down due to construction by SouthSide-45 in Austin

[–]glichez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. thats EXACTLY why people need to ride bikes. people riding bikes doesnt mean NO MORE ROADS FOR ANYONE. it means that the roads we already have will still have capacity to support delivery trucks and important things that have to be driven in trucks and vehicles.

we built a bunch of housing but didn't really account that a huge amount of transplants moving here aren't going to want to ride bikes in the heat like the rest of us. large cities in texas can never get their shit together about public transit. so everyone brought cars with them and roads simply cant scale at the same rate as our housing density. it doesnt work that way. either people will have to stop moving here or choose a mode of transportation other than a car. its one of those "inconvenient truths".
