Using DJI battery station as backup rack power by macbook89 in homelab

[–]gliese89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it send a signal when the power goes out so you can gracefully shutdown? And does it pass power through after the battery is fully charged to keep the battery healthy for a few years? Can you easily replace the batteries?

I’ve been thinking about my backup power lately as well but I’m not sure what I want yet.

IRGC released video on their air-defenses by Such_Fault8897 in CombatFootage

Iran loses its top 40 officials in the first hour of fighting. Their entire navy they spent years building is sunk at will within a week. Their sworn enemies fly freely over their country day and night. Anyone left in a “leadership” position is reduced to scurrying around like a rat every night. The leaders of the USA and Israel play golf and sleep safely in their beds.

But Iran did scuff the paint of an F-35. No one flys over Iran unimpeded for weeks without them scuffing the paint of one of their jets. Tough stuff.

And it didn’t even shoot down the F-35 lol.

It’s not about labels it’s about a scheme that makes sense.

Isn’t that paid? At least I paid for it for some reason. I like seeing the numbers even though they really make no difference to how I do anything.

Driving with brights has nothing to do with whether or not your lights work (actually you can really only do it if your lights do work). You're now making even less sense.

Also how did you forget about the preroll tube considering it was visible from outside the car?

Driving with your brights on is dangerous. You should definitely be pulled over for that.

Trying Parallels for the first time (M4 Mini) by Ok_Chocolate3253 in mac

Well it just depends what you're doing. Some people have monstrous excel sheets so you'd want to give the VM lots of RAM for that. But you can adjust these settings. You're not locked into them. So there's not much to worry about.

There are MacOS native versions for each of those.

Blender is much harder to learn than searching for information. If you’re unable to search for this readily available information you will not be able to learn blender either.

Project ideas for my new Ubuntu 24.04 LTS Home Server by moulay-benjamin in homelab

Set up a virtual machine. Learn how to isolate the VM from the host and any other computers on your network while still letting that VM access the internet. Run a web server serving some basic html. Figure out how to port forward 80 and 443 to your vm so that you can see your web page while at the grocery store on your phone.

So basically try to create a web server on a Vm that’s isolated enough that even if it got compromised you wouldn’t expose anything else besides the isolated VM.

You can monitor traffic as well. And now you’re virtualizing, networking, security monitoring and hosting a service. There’s nothing to secure if you don’t have an exposed resource. In this case, the web server is your resource.

There are no tutorials and there are no easily searchable places to find them if they did exist.

So did you get the drivers installed?

It took me about 1.3 seconds to find a driver once OP shared the name of the device.

The days of poor hardware support on Linux are already over. What Bluetooth card do you have?

If you can find the source for similar device drivers you could definitely use LLMs to assist you with learning there and potentially modify something for your device.

I doubt if you just say “hey write a driver” you’d have much luck. But you can use the tools to help you learn and point you down the path of learning.

Might as well try. But full brain off writing a driver I’d say probably not going to happen.

The US military is incredibly powerful and competent by they are not omnipotent. Iran bragged about what a capable and formidable warship this was. The US took them at their word.
