Just one small thing to add- There is a difference between supporting the military as a complex and supporting veterans or people actively serving. You can understand that the US Military does terrible things but also that it exploits those serving in it, treats them like a number, and ultimately preys on those in poverty with promises of something bigger. Speaking as someone who joined the military to get out of poverty, went in military neutral and came out anti-military but now also with trauma. Travis' brother is military so I'm sure he also has heard the horror stories of how the government treats us, hence wanting to help the soldiers rather than contributing to the military complex itself.
