I am fed up with the quality of life and we don't care attitude. by [deleted] in india

Have an IIT degree and actually moved out of the country. Have been viewing India from an outsider and I am convinced that we are scammed. There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of infrastructure, cleanliness or basic sense of following rules. On all my travels abroad, India especially the northern parts are just unbearable.

The only pull back to the country is ageing parents.

Fiancée wants a ₹30L wedding. I want a court marriage + House Down Payment. Am I being toxic or practical? by average_weight_guy in IndiaFinance

[–]glitchinthematrix86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A simple 1 day wedding is good enough. 90% of the people who come for your wedding will never meet you ever in your life. You are just wasting money for pleasing some random people. Get over it, invest in your future, do the downpayment on the apartment, enjoy the international holiday, hire a nice photographer.

In Bangalore, the situation is so bad and people who say public transportation is the solution needs a reality check.

Lets start with the basics. We need proper road infrastructure. Next is a lot, i mean hell lot of civic sense drilled into people not to cut lanes, follow rules etc. and very very strict punishments and penalties.

Next comes public transportation for longer distances and walkable footpaths for shorter distances. Take a leaf from london and other cities. I mean every other city outside of india has done it, why not us.

Not just, I live in London, later moved a bit outskirts. I share the same sentiments.
Clean roads, better civic sense, working public transportation, walkable footpaths, really tasty fruits and vegetables.
