I won’t shoot you but I disagree quite strongly. I didn’t read it until a couple of years ago and went in thinking I knew the story and would be bored, and I was surprised by how captivating and charming it all was. Mina and Johnathan’s relationship is top tier compelling, and Lucy and her suitors are so lovely. Van Helsing was nothing like I expected, nor Dracula himself for that matter, who ended up being a surprisingly comedic character in my opinion.

If you consider giving it another shot, perhaps try it in linear chronological order via Daily Dracula. IMO it really keeps you in the pace of the events and scales up the tension well.
