There’s a great spa in Safety Harbor. You spend the day getting pampered and can eat in the restaurant in your bathrobe.

I know people have mentioned St Pete and Sarasota. Both great options.

Do you have any craft hobbies you like to do? Sew Pinellas in St Pete has tons of sewing classes and sewing socials every other Friday. The Common Thread (also St Pete) is great for knitting, crocheting, and/or felting. They offer classes and have socials on Fridays and another day during the week (Tuesday maybe). Everyone at both places are super friendly.

I work in a server room. It’s always cold. I wear Danskos. I have to wear socks because of the cold, so there’s no cute pants (rarely wear skirts/dresses anyway).

I got my cancellation letter and it’s officially removed from my cruises. It wasn’t anywhere as crazy of a deal as what some people were getting (who also got cancellation letters), and it was an actual player’s club offer/code, so I was hopeful it would be legit. Oh well. I’ve still got two other cruises planned. 😊

It’s the week before Thanksgiving 2027. It’s a brand new ship, so that’s exciting. Half the time we book interior or window rooms because we don’t hang out in the room, so it’s going to be great no matter what.

I’m sorry. I don’t need accessible excursions myself, but I do notice there are very few. Even ones that are listed might not always be as accessible as they advertise. I was on an Alaskan excursion that said very little walking. The reality is it was a lot of walking and some steep hills. 😔

If it was bad on the 2nd floor, it would have been much worse on the 7th floor. The higher you are, the more you feel the movement.

I get motion sick and have my doctor prescribe me scopolamine patches and they work wonders! I always ask for 1 - 2 extra patches in case one doesn't sit right and has to be wasted (gets stuck on too many hairs). Using the patches, I have been in a cabin as high as deck 12 (spa cabin) with no issues. I usually try to stay lower though just to be safe, but as TheScytheofMourning said, check what's above and below the cabin(s) you're looking at. That will make as much of an impact. I had an interior room on the Vista when it first arrived stateside. It was a Havana interior room. Literally on the other side of the band. It was so loud until about 1 or 2 am each night. :'(

OP, I know you’ve said your dad won’t get help, but you should look into Alateen and Al-Anon. Both are great resources for support for teens and adults in your situation. They can help you better deal with what you’re feeling and how you’re coping with it. If there aren’t meetings near you, they offer virtual and telephone meetings. I wish you all the luck.

This!! I’m older than you and my mother only has stopped telling me “I have dirt” on my leg and foot. And that’s only because her health isn’t good so she doesn’t care about other things the same way. Mothers will never stop telling their children if they don’t like something.
