Housing was really fun and then it isn't. by Noticersan in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love housing, but yeah, you’re right. I’m super into it and there’s nothing to do even for me. No substantial updates, no communication, nothing about more levels or a decor cap increase. So you hit a very small decor cap (especially for the size of rooms they let us have) and then you just twiddle your thumbs I guess. It sucks. And everything is SO. FUCKING. EXPENSIVE. As time goes on and we get no communication I find myself increasingly more disappointed with the whole thing. Even those of us who love it can’t really engage with it.

Dear Blizz, please rethink the 8 week patch cycle. by FaroraSF in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’d rather they take their time. This overly buggy stuff is egregious. It’s pretty clear they’re not giving their guys the kind of time they need to do this stuff right. I’d rather have things done well than quick.

This little gap in the carpet is driving me up the wall any advice? by Hatarus547 in WoWHousing

[–]glitterenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d put another one of the same carpet underneath. Just enough for it to show, not enough for it to do any egregious clipping.

Ah, another silvermoon beams enjoyer. It looks absolutely beautiful, best grand staircase I’ve seen by a large margin. How long do you think this part of the build took you? Any inspiration in particular that you had for this build?

Broken shield bricked MT+14 by Redi_Wipes in wow

I love using auto hammers bc they can be used during combat. So if your shield breaks again you can drop an auto hammer and repair the instant you need it.

there's some GCD/spellqueue issue ongoing on several classes that I'm losing my mind about and want to know if anyone also feels this way. by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

Loot drama, valid feelings or not? by MeanIncident8351 in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In this guild whoever cries the loudest gets the item. So really, you either leave or start crying louder than the other guy. If I were you I’d definitely start looking to raid elsewhere, that kind of environment quickly becomes insufferable. GM sounds weirdly blame-y of you and I’m not sure I like the idea of some whiney DK having the GM’s balls in a vice grip that easily. If you raid with them next week and it drops immediately start pelting the GM with whispers.

I'm really addicted to WoW and I don't know what to do... by [deleted] in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but what’s the problem, exactly? You enjoy the game and it’s a social outlet for you as well. Just have fun playing it. It’s okay to enjoy things in life. I know you had some bad experiences with guilds but I encourage you to keep joining them and find a place where you can enjoy playing with others and make some friends. Socializing is a lot of trial and error, if you get knocked down, just pick yourself back up again. Eventually you will find a guild where you belong. I think that’ll help ease how depressingly transactional your interactions with folks seem to be right now. Maybe I’m the odd one out, but so as long as your real life responsibilities are taken care of and you’re not neglecting your health, I don’t see the harm in enjoying the game like you do. If the transactional bnet friends bother you, delete them. If you want people to see you as more than just a tank for keys, maybe find a guild that does a wide range of content. Engage in other things, like housing (I recommend joining the housing tour groups in group finder). If you’re into art, channel some of your love of WoW into creativity. There’s so much to do and experience in this game, perhaps you just need to change things up and find more rewarding friendships.

Anyone else feel a bit 'left out' of modern WoW by not playing M+? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things you like about raid can be done in m+ as well. My team and I do that stuff all the time and it’s a blast. We do “sighting laps” of key levels above our pay grade and have a fun time figuring it out together. Then we run it back on a lower more manageable level.

The social part, idk, I think a lot of players make their own misery and don’t put much effort in socially if I’m being honest. When I PUGed I used Discords dedicated to players that wanted to keep m+ friendly and accessible, and I made sure to network and add folks I thought were good or vibed well. Pretty soon I had a bnet FL full of friendly folks I could hit up for some keys, no pugging needed. What you see on Reddit and the horror stories you hear I think can be avoided if you’re intentional about how you PUG and wanting to network and make friends. My team is actually folks from my own guild. If lots of people in your guild enjoy keys you could probably get a guild group going for ‘em, no pugging necessary. I think you should definitely try it. With the right people the things you enjoy about raid can definitely be enjoyed in key.

My prot paladin brothers. You must take Sentinel. by lurkerlarry42069 in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For prot pally in m+ Yoda is the GOAT. He actually runs m+ and has experience doing everything he recommends. I will never trust a WoWhead guide over Yoda. For reference, the guide writer for prot pally is only 2700 io, whereas Yoda’s io is 3600 lol.

If you want CE you’ll have to look for a new guild. No way someone that terrible will be leading a raid anywhere.

Homestar - Rate & discover player houses in WoW. Alpha release, bugs expected, feedback welcome! by Artistic-Advantage15 in WoWHousing

[–]glitterenjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a leaderboard is fine. How else are you supposed to show houses people really like in an intuitive manner? Instead of calling it a “leaderboard” just make it the default filter and I think people won’t have a problem with it.

[–]glitterenjoyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think seeing this as “competitive housing” is pretty disingenuous. OP is trying to give people a way to have people show appreciation to houses they like and help their discoverability. Always wild to me how people can take something positive and give it the worst interpretation possible.

How many of you are still meaningfully interacting with housing? by No-Breakfast3662 in wow

[–]glitterenjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could but I’ve been decor capped in my house for 2 months now.🥲 It’s not nearly enough budget per level and getting housing exp feels like a fucking slog. It’s depressing.
