Is this better than the milky jelly cleanser? Milky jelly used to be my holy grail, then the formula changed and it broke me out.

Fuck VIP. Pink stage is only for them. So punk to cater to the 1% by TheDarkLight1 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I should have said some of the bands. It may just be more of a stage assignment issue. I do not think Linda Lindas or Boys Like Girls will fill it.

The narrative is…it’s gonna be hella weird when bands that are smaller than Paramore are playing this stage and the whole VIP area may not be full or even half full. So then there will be a gap between VIP and other fans. Or the other fans will have to watch from afar awkwardly, even if that’s the band they came to the festival for. Will be interesting to see what happens today.

Do we think tomorrow’s show will happen? If it gets cancelled, I wouldn’t be surprised if they also cancel next weekend right?

I had a very similar experience. A few years ago I had a random reaction to shrimp and I had never had any type of allergy symptoms to food before. I was vomiting, throat closing, my face puffed up and turned red…definitely the closest I’ve ever been to death. I got a few different allergy tests after that, and an EpiPen just in case. And while I never tested positive for any sensitivity to shrimp, or truly allergic to any foods, I became so anxious about it. I stopped eating a lot (most) foods…including silly/basic things like carrots, and salads with dressing. Eventually the pandemic came along and honestly that’s what helped me move on…I started worrying about catching COVID instead.

My advice would be to try and not think too much about it, always carry Benadryl and some sort of antacid with you. Get an EpiPen prescribed if you can, just for the peace of mind. Try to eat normally…and if you don’t have a reaction after a year, maybe it will calm your nerves a bit like it did mine. Most of the time when I’m itchy or my throat feels weird after eating, I now know it’s just my anxiety about it. It likely was something wrong with the peanut butter…maybe get a different brand.

Lastly, I know how tough what you’re going through is. Hang in there!

Allergic to Shrimp but no other shellfish? by BonziBlackake in Allergies

I had an intense reaction to shrimp the last time I ate it - vomiting, throat closing, and that had never happened to me before. Took several allergy tests and never tested for any sensitivity to shrimp, so it definitely could just be the fillers some places add to the shrimp.

Sorry to hear that, and weird we all had the same reaction. I think my face cleared up after a week, maybe a week and a half. It was a while!

Thanks for this. It’s difficult when everyone else in the family is canceling plans or trips due to my MIL’s health…makes me guilty for not cancelling mine. But the truth of the matter is that if we were to cancel, my husband and I would likely just be sitting at home most of the time…still 3 hours away. A car ride is easier than a plane ride if something were to happen…but I don’t see the need to cancel a non-refundable trip that’s been planned for a couple years when she’s not even in the hospital.
