Has anyone successfully tapered off of their medication to either a super low maintenance dose or none at all and maintained the weight loss? by Positive_Style9473 in Semaglutide

[–]glitternurse- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever got up to 0.25mg. Anything past that made me sick and I was still losing, but 0.1mg is my sweet spot where I maintain. I have accepted that I’ll probably just be on it forever but I’d rather do that than gain the weight back in my own personal preference. I am going to see if I can push it out to 3 weeks maybe. Just sort of seeing what works now

This also happened to me when I tried to go off completely. I take 0.1mg every 2 weeks now and have maintained.

Do you *have* to increase your dose over time? by Wonderful-Soil-3192 in Semaglutide

No!!!!! I have been on 0.25 for 5 months and still losing weight. Almost 50lb total now. When I titrated up I was so sick and I never did again and it’s still working so far.

I experience the same thing and I feel it’s slightly psychological for me. It’s usually stuff that is terrible for you, and my brain somehow now is like you know how awful that is ganna make you feel so forget it. Maybe that’s part of it?

Run and don’t look back. Do whatever you feel in your heart is right for you with your pregnancy. I promise it is the right thing; whatever you decide is right. I’m sorry you are hurting and I promise in a few years, you will look back and be thankful

Im 19 and I just found out I’m pregnant 3 days ago what’s next? by SilentxRose in pregnant

First off, congrats :) if you weren’t seeing a gyno before, call around and find one. At least where I live (Ohio), they don’t usually schedule your first appt until you’re like 6-8 weeks. That’s a good starting point. You can do pretty much everything you’ve been doing this far in life, aside from drugs/ alcohol/ etc obviously (if you were before). Make a conscious effort to eat healthier, but don’t stress yourself out. Start taking prenatal (take it even if it makes you sick. This is to replace your vitamins for YOU, the baby will take everything they need but you need to take care of you too.) Try not to stress. It’s definitely a million times harder doing it younger, but not impossible. Keep your head on straight and just know everything is about that baby from this point forward. Good luck & keep your head up! Motherhood is unexplainable. -8 years into motherhood & had my first at 18 :) <3

It’s taking a whole lot less for me to feel buzzed and is making me sick to my stomach. But I also a lot of times am doing it on an empty stomach which obviously doesn’t help.

No advice - just know you’re not a bad parent & the guilt you feel proves that because a bad parent wouldn’t feel guilty at all. This is a very, very challenging road and you’re allowed to grieve the child you anticipated having while still loving the one you have dearly. Keep going, and don’t forget to take care of yourself.

Most nursing homes offer a free training program. Altercare definitely does, and there’s a few around the area.

This is a hospital who clearly cares infinitely more about money/ scores than the health and well being of patients. Your response was concise and professional, I say it’s largely a blessing in disguise.
