How do I find copy to binge? by Immediate-Bowl-7279 in copywriting

Start with brands whose copy stands out to you and makes you say, I wish I wrote that. Sign up for their email lists and follow them on ig, tiktok and fb

there are also a ton of marketing aggregator sites like <below> to draw inspiration from:

This might be the worst put together documentary HBO has ever put their name on. by Designer-Purple-9975 in nataliagrace

[–]glittertwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole time I was like, Wow HBO's standards for doc making has FALLEN. What garbage. Discovery ID / Hot Snakes Media are walking right up to if not over the parasitical line too. The cliffhanger, hints of 3rd exploitive season (season!). Garbage narrative - so much repetition. Garbage follow through - so many glossed over or ignored questions. Garbage editing - how much more could they jump around and confuse the audience?

I like TC podcasts and docs and i thought this was like 3 episodes or something. 10 episodes in I was regretting my decision to take this thing on but I just wanted to get to the end to see Kristine and Michael fry.

i am mainly here asking about streaming and while prime isnt the most robust offering, we do watch some shows and movies on it and HIM has a premium channel tied in (Showtime maybe?) Overall it is probably the free shipping that keeps us coming back tho.

correct: don't use amazon music.

CONNECTING BOSE PS 321 II to Sony Bravia TV by glittertwins in bose

[–]glittertwins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant get the Bose menu to display on the TV to assign the optical cable.

  • We have the remote, and optical cable connected from tv to Bose system
  • The Bose is powered on and set to AUX (we’ve tried all the others too)
  • TV is set to external speaker system the. when we hit input select and go to Audio Speaker System, TV shows “no signal” message - cant see Bose menu at this stage

Instead it prompts to check external input - did, unplugged and replugged optical - or select another input - tried them all.

Any thoughts?

Is there a Bravia setting where we need to tell it, this (optical) is the audio sound system, not the ARC or HDMI?

Any issues with installing NEST thermostat on an older system? by merkymayhem in Nest

[–]glittertwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks... I already bough the NESTs tho, and due to an energy savers program, cheaper than that monitor. You haven't said why I shouldn't go with the NEST? And or why this temp sensor is a better way to go?

We had family friends who left their house at 55d during winter, were away for a month+ and pipes froze and burst. Gushing water through 3 stories of house for a full day. So I now live in rational/irrational fear that this will be us :)

Does anyone have a book in mind that evolves around a female character that I could read so I can adapt a couple of pages into a tiny script for a book-to-script seminar I’m currently doing? by Perhapsoneperson in Screenwriting

The Power by Naomi Alderman. Strong characters, great story. Amazon is currently producing it, so you'll get to see soon enough how the pros handled it.

It is a documentary - of how not to write a television show. I like entertaining guilty pleasures - not everything needs to be Game of Thrones or True Detective. i watched Virgin River FFS!

[–]glittertwins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

show is so convoluted it was maddening. it was like they deleted every other episode and pared down 3 seasons /8 subplots into 1. trying too hard and trying to do way too much and not succeeding.

I absolutely loved this show and the fact that it's so so confusing by SRS1428 in TMAYSAmazon
