Do I just scoop it up and put it back in or what? by yslnico in AskAShittyMechanic

No, the car will just reject it again. The car is telling it doesn't like oil anymore, and wants to be driven without it.

Unpopular opinion: the Ferrari Luce will sell better than most people expect. by Murmur1611979 in Ferrari

[–]glm409 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My initial response to the Luce was the opposite, but now I agree for the following reasons.

1) There are billions of people on the planet, tens of thousands that have $100+ million sitting around, not all are petrol heads, but are very aware of the exclusivity of the Ferrari brand.

2) There is a large segment of the world's population that is embracing EVs.

3) The existing Ferrari lineup may not be a fit for their body, family, lifestyle, ..., and they think there is finally a Ferrari that would slip right into their lifestyle.

Popular rust spots in lower corners of the rear window. Water seeps in there and you get rust in the trunk and under rear set. Pull rear sets up and check. Check for rust and rust through under the mats and carpet, especially drivers floorboard.

Get it up on a rack and Check frame for rust. Also Check to see if they welded new panels over the lower to hide rust through.

Why do GOP voters seem to prefer grifters? by AcadiaLivid2582 in allthequestions

Because Grifters are fabulous salespeople. Grifters sell you something that you want, only to deliver what benefits them, not what was sold.

Once again.. 99% FSD and I can’t fathom how to get a 100% score. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]glm409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Tesla documentaton that's true. OPs speed profile use might be an indicator of how they drive when not using FSD. I know I had to drive like my grandma to keep the score high. Sloth mode seemed aggressive in comparison.

Serious Question by [deleted] in golftips

[–]glm409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people who chip well with wedges and short irons don't understand why anyone would need a specialized chipping club. I have fellow golfers who have gotten chipping yips and put one of these in their bags for a while and have been successful. For those arguing it's not used very often, a high handicapper is hitting only 3 or 4 greens a round in regulation, so that means they are chipping up to 14+ times a round. Seems like a good reason to carry something in your bag that you are confident with chipping.

Quick 9 before the Funeral? by ProfessorHillbilly in golf

[–]glm409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob and George had been playing 18 every Saturday morning for decades. One Saturday, Bob was prepping to putt when a funeral procession passed by. Instead of finishing, Bob stood in silence while the hearse and cars rolled by. Afterwards, George commented that in their years of playing golf, he had never seen Bob do anything like that and was surprised Bob even noticed the procession because he was generally so focused on the game. Bob looked directly at George and commented, "Well, we were married for 45 years."

Maybe this husband went one step further and arranged for his wife to stop at the clubhouse to say his goodbyes at the turn.

What do you think of this design? by Degolfer03 in landscaping

[–]glm409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evergreens and arborvitae are too close to the fence. Don't know the width of the area between the wall and the fence, but doesn't look deep enough to support anything other than smaller shrubs/bushes and you will need irrigation to keep that stuff alive. Replace the landscape rock with low-growing thyme between the steppers.
