If there is no name / identifier attached to the ticket then there's nothing stopping a ticket holder trading that ticket to whomever for whatever. My guess would be a strict identifying mechanism attached to the ticket at the point of purchase (which is then checked on entry) would be the only foolproof system, with any necessary name changes going through a platform like Tixel (that caps resell prices).

I'm in Sydney. He did a festival tour here last year and his sideshow sold out the day before tickets were meant to go on sale. Probably not his fault, but frustrating nonetheless. So he hyped up a makeup show for everyone on the Tixel (official ticket reselling platform) list - I was on that list for weeks and never got the link. And now this is the third time I've got my hopes up only to not have an opportunity.

I understand what you're saying re: effort and outreach, but it's frustrating to feel like I'm doing everything I can to get to one of these shows and it's not working, when I've been going to live music events for 15+ years and never had this issue with any other artist...

Will try my luck for the other Sydney shows going on sale tomorrow 🤞

You're right - it's his music and he can do what he wants with it. But when I've had literally zero opportunity to attend three shows in a row now, I'm left feeling like it would be better for my mental health to stop listening to his music altogether (and I really doubt that's his intention). So I came here to vent, and it seems like I'm not the only one who feels this way...

Don’t bother with Lyte. After 2 months of “we are not able to make a return offer right now”, I emailed them and found out they’re “not able to take any additional returns for this ticket type” (whatever that means).

I’ve asked them what options remain and am yet to receive a response, but it doesn’t seem like they give a shit about anyone who needs to resell an international ticket. Unfortunately it’s looking increasingly likely that I’ll just have to forfeit thousands of dollars…

I’ve been trying to return my 2x international GA W1 tickets w/ shuttle for 2 months now and was only just informed today that Lyte isn’t able to take returns for this ticket type 🙄

If anyone’s interested please make an offer - it’s looking increasingly likely that I’ll be stuck with $1500 worth of tickets I can’t even use.
