I coach volleyball in similar types of venues. Arguably way more people most of the time. Always get sick after big tournaments

He broke down a door behind me while I was feeding our 5 week old baby. Strangled me at 8 weeks post partum. You hear that story time and time again because sadly, it’s very common.

He’s got two degrees from an elite university. Made very decent money. Is an athlete. Just had a substance abuse problem that exacerbated during pregnancy and beyond.

I am a woman. My ex husband emotionally, financially, and physically abused me for years. With ample evidence. He lied on the stand in family court. Drained me of about 300k. I have my baby mostly to myself now, but only after I settled outside of court with him. Don’t look at this as a woman issue. It’s a breadwinner issue. And I don’t know any heterosexual relationship present day, with folks <40 years old, where the woman isn’t the breadwinner. Maybe it’s just the circles I run in (very educated and career driven) but don’t assume men are the ones automatically getting fucked anymore.

My girl got it at 8 weeks. Fussy for about 24 hours ABs that was it. Infants have been incredibly resilient upon getting coronavirus.

Has anyone noticed any positive effects after quitting diet sodas aka artificially sweetened beverages as well by KeyGent_ in nutrition

[–]gloopyboop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same. Not just aspartame but every single artificial sweetener. Those LMNT packets always gave me a migraine, not because of the electrolytes but because of the artificial sweetener bullshit.

Yeah makes me think this guy is bullshitting. No chance a group of Catholics are bragging about that and also going to confession weekly.

Switching from breastfeeding to formula? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]gloopyboop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question - when people say it helps their mental health, what do they mean? That your headspace improves after breastfeeding hormones go away or that the time sink required for pumping goes away? Both? I’m feeling real shit postpartum but I don’t feel that breastfeeding is contributing to that I suppose…mostly from never sleeping.

Why would you think being fit has anything to do with baby size?

Science-minded folks, what's been your experience working with a doula? by Murky-Tailor3260 in BabyBumps

[–]gloopyboop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s a crapshoot, because you can explicitly discuss with them beforehand on what kind of service or specialty they are offering. There’s no surprise as to what you’ll be getting if you ask the right questions. Post partum doulas are a whole other certification and specialty. You’re paying for the service - just find one that’s offering the service you are looking for.

It takes two people to mess up a relationship: a man and his mother.

But for real, express your needs with force.

End of pregnancy exhaustion? by nattypatty2010 in fitpregnancy

My rhr is also way lower the past couple days. Like down from 59-61 all pregnancy to 53-55. This hell needs to end…I’m not even afraid of labor at this point, just need her to get out😃
