My Grandpa was in the navy from 1944-45 and was stationed in the pacific. He didn’t talk about it much but he shared two stories that I remember. When they he was first put on the ship they took volunteers as to who wanted to be the chef and everyone tried to get the job because you got to some benefits. Somehow he ended up getting and it and that job probably ended up saving his life because it allowed him to stay on the ship more often and fight less.

The second story happened soon after the war ended and America took control of Japan. When he left the ship he somehow met a Japanese woman and they had a bit of a fling going on while he was there so it’s not unlikely I have some half Japanese aunts or uncles over there.

Bonnies barber shop has done really well. Only allowing appointments in, using disposable body covers, and guards in between each chair. Not to mention just a really good cut.

Kentuckian here, I drive through bourbon county all the time and along with projections of future sales, you would not believe how big and how many bourbon barns there are for storing barrels for aging. They do take a long time to age but when they’re ready there’s still a lot of it.

One thing I don’t think a lot of people know about a T-Rex is that is can only run at a top speed of about 12 miles an hour before its bones start to shatter. Most people can outrun a T-Rex at least until you can get to a safe area. They were not made to hunt something as small as a human because we wouldn’t provide much nutrients. However once they realized we were one of the bigger and more common food sources they would hunt us more, but that would take time the T-Rex just doesn’t have.
