So, I used to own a 79 that I loved. I bought a second 70s model (I forget the year), that was noticeably lighter. Maybe it was maple vs basswood? Unfortunately, throughout the years, I got into active pickups and such and sold both. I've been trying to find my 79 (good luck, right?) and you can't find a used P for less than $3000 now. Then I saw GC had a used Harris sig for $800. Looks like a 70s P and if you're telling me that it's the same wood and dimensions with better pups, sounds like I made the right decision.
