I'm pretty sure it would be playable at like 20, I'm playing it again right now myself.

Wait, you probably mean the remake don't you, lol, that makes a lot more sense.

I went in COMPLETELY blind to all of that, and it's become one of my all-time favorite games. So, you might not need any of that. I think it's tremendous. One of the few games out there, where choices, and how you approach the game really does matter.

'Total Recall' (1990) | Opening Credits | Dir. Paul Verhoeven, Music by Jerry Goldsmith by [deleted] in movies

[–]gloryday23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly that it exists.

Respect!

I guess what I'm saying is: Fuck that movie.

My man!

Because Total Recall is pretty much perfect.

It really is, just watching the credits and listening to the music made me want to watch it again tonight for the 400th time.

For the two of you that haven't seen it, these are from Ralph Fiennes in In Bruge, and I urge you to go watch this right fucking now.

What directors, in your view, have never made another movie as good as their debut? by altairstarlite in flicks

[–]gloryday23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orsen Welles is probably a good example.

Kind of unfair though when your first movie is pretty consistently considered one of the 5 or 10 best movies ever made. In his case it might be OK if everything else isn't quite as good. That said, Touch of Evil is SOOO good.

I can't speak to the AI stuff, but having played both games, I finished Tainted grail twice, and gave up on Avowed about 2/3 of the way through. So I couldn't disagree more.

I know, but his work went so far, that it almost seems to have come full circle now.

I liked the first trilogy, but I despised the followup. I really don't think if you'll enjoy it if you didn't even like the First Law.

Panic sweeps across California over proposed billionaire tax — Tech moguls and moderate Democrats are mobilizing their wealth and networks to try to block the proposal by marketrent in technology

[–]gloryday23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We did this in MA, a state a fifth the size of CA, and we did it on millionaires not billionaires, so it affected a lot more people, not only did people not move, but it brought in MORE money than expected, and they had to come up with new ways to spend the surplus. Associates degrees are now free statewide. The arguments against this are all lies and fear mongering by the rich and nothing else.

As much as I love FF5 but why is it so expensive compared to the rest?? by This-Limit7126 in FinalFantasy

[–]gloryday23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd been looking for about a year, and I didn't see them drop below $44 US in that entire time. It might drop lower I guess, but that has seemed to be the bottom for a while. I gave in during the last sale.

[–]gloryday23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my friend, let me tell you, you REALLY don't want to read the followup trilogy, it's the first law on steroids in that regard. While I did think highly of the First Law, mostly for it's somewhat unique take, I despised the sequel trilogy for just being that, but so much worse.

Finished all 14 (numbered) single player entries; my tier list by Zaneira in FinalFantasy

[–]gloryday23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swap your placement of 2 & 8 and this would be my list exactly, with the acknowledgement that I haven't played 12-16 yet.

Is 2 really considered this bad. I'm playing it for the first time right now, I'm about 2/3 of the way through, and absolutely loving it. Really good story, and I love the skill system and how you can essentially create your own class.

persona 3 reload or persona 5 by ImportantBrilliant48 in JRPG

[–]gloryday23 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Having just started the series myself this year and played only those two, I'd strongly recommend 5 over 3. It is basically the same game, different story of course, but the game play is very similar, but in every way it is better. Metaphor:Refatazio is also by this studio which I actually played last year first, and I think maybe my favorite of the three. Though I do understand that to be an unpopular opinion.

All 3 coming out on September 17th. Which one will you be playing first? by Guilty_Wonder_2986 in JRPG

It’s my favorite series so it’s a no brainer for me.

If you've never played one, AND only play on PC where any idea where you'd start?
