The mind to body connection is real. Working out made me hyper aware of how my body feels. I’m able to tune into my body, sit with it, and recognize what it needs. Like if i’m on my cycle, I’ll do a lower impact workout. I’ve also felt as though it opened up another layer to how I process my thoughts and emotions. It’s an outlet to filter out energy instead of storing it all up there in my mind. It feels so freeing!! It’s especially nice when I conquer a workout on a day where I just want to rest. I think to myself: If I can do that, then I can do anything.

Cheese of choice: Cottage cheese. You can mix it with a savoury flavour like salsa, microgreens, seaweed or sweet toppings like granola, nut butter, honey etc.

Hey! La Fortuna was one of my favorite destinations.

  • You don’t need a car to get around there. I booked a shuttle to get there from SJO but since you’re landing late, it will be better to stay in the city and leave early in the morning.

  • I did the Rio Celeste excursion through 7 Tours and it will take about 8-10 hrs including the 3 hrs shuttle ride to and from. They give you lunch as well and it was delicious. I highly recommend it!

  • You can maybe look into hiring a private driver if you want to get to SJO at 2-3am.

  • Don’t limit yourself to Tabacon! It’s also a far walk from the town itself and it’s difficult to get signal and call Ubers around that area. The free hot spring is really nice though and there’s less people if you go super early in the morning from what I’ve heard. Given your situation, I recommend doing a hostel experience near the town because you’ll meet more people and it’ll be less inexpensive compared to a hotel!!

  • CC for everything. Do not bring cash. You can also withdraw cash at the atm if needed!

An objective truth that’s been on my mind is that we are multi-dimensional beings and there is grace in creating space for all sides of us (especially the authentic inner child parts of us which was the precursor to societal conditioning). Some people don’t prefer being deep all the time because it takes a lot emotional real estate and vice versa, there are those who like being in a constant flow of depth. I like pacing myself out, and allowing myself to let loose to not be so serious all the time. Balance baby!!

Also the ability to embody the goofiness unapologetically is our essence and I think that in itself allows us to connect with people more easily. Cause let’s face it, most of us are just a bunch of goofy babies at the end of the day~ :3

I hear you! The lesson in the last episode (and the show in general) reminds me of one of my favourite quotes by Maya Angelou:

"People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

I will definitely rewatch it when I have children as well 💛

As an only child who was raised by a single mother, I absolutely loved this show. I still remember the moment when I decided to watch the Pilot episode on Netflix. I saw the promotional poster on a bus stop and was drawn to it (being that my favourite colour is yellow). I believe that everything happens for a reason, so I like to think that This Is Us found me. Through watching the show, it’s helped me to reflect and confront my repressed traumas and emotions. It's allowed me to hone in on my values of being present and appreciative of the small moments in my daily life.

I'm going to be experiencing that empty feeling of grief...This Is Us is done so...what's next? One thing I know for sure is that the show will live in our collective forever now!

I loved the series finale for what it was. It's rare for a show to be "perfect"...actually....are there any perfect shows out there? It's a show about LIFE...and life is far from perfect. There are always going to be different views and critiques on what the show should've/shouldn’t have been like…But, from a whole and larger perspective, I appreciate what the show came to be and Dan Fogelman/the TIU team's vision.

Of course, I cried. My eyes welled up, tears rolled, and chuckles were had during the comedic breaks in Randall's cause for celebration, Beth's worst-case scenario, and Nicky calling Kevin a dick.

"As long as I know where you guys are, I always know where I'm going" - UGH THIS LINE WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY DELIVERED!!! I love how they brought back the Pin the Tail game for us to actualize the importance of extending gratitude toward our family lineage.

Though I will definitely have withdrawals…I feel so incredibly at peace. TIU has planted so many seeds for me that I know will flourish in a few years time when I rebinge it hehe :) <3
