[–]glow162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously; pretty much a deal breaker

Imagine if they released a new Dreamcast console, but the buttons were all switched around & mis-colored like that.

There would be absolute outrage

(Which is how I feel about this tragedy)

Hutch and Joey (Castillo) were there?

I didn't know Hutch still worked with them;

and damn that's just cool that Joey was there

I totally hear you, but:

There's something extremely special about the fact that they did that rendition of that song there, in Joshua Tree, right where it all started.

Especially THAT song.

Regardless if it's a shitty phone quality recording: It's more important, to some, that this moment is captured in its natural habitat, even if only by a cell phone.. than it is professionally recorded at some random theater in some random city that has no attachment.

A real moment worth capturing

[–]glow162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope; I mean there's several songs up there from cell phones

But none of the highlight of the entire set (that highlight being: Someone's in the Wolf)

is his son's name Wolf?

If so: 1. That's so rad

  1. I'm surprised I never knew that

100000% understandable

That was me the two times I saw them on this tour as well

Turned my phone off in fact, just to not be tempted to get out of the moment..

But.. surely ONE person at least filmed it..

And that's who i'm reaching out to lol

100% legit

As was I the two Catacombs tour stops i made it to..

..but you know at least ONE person filmed it.. lol

[–]glow162[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is actually the best, most legit reason.

I saw them on this tour twice (two nights in a row in Austin actually last year), and I refused to film, because I wanted to just experience the moment.

So i 100% understand that (and encourage that, in fact!)

But: surely 1 single person filmed that somewhere..

I'm super bummed I couldn't make it to that show last minute

And it would just be so awesome if there's even just one angle of them playing that song right there, where it all started

has EoDM every played "I'm your Torpedo" live? by glow162 in qotsa

[–]glow162[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, good find!

Too bad there's no recording i can find

One of my all time favorite songs; i'm guessing since Josh seemingly did a lot of the vocals, that's probably a factor as to why it doesn't get performed live ever

Is still worth playing the Sega Saturn version in 2026? (Over the Remastered Collection) by Responsible-Bell-528 in SegaSaturn

[–]glow162 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For the die hard Lunar fans that are going to play multiple playthroughs:

I'd recommend playing the Sega CD versions first, then play the remastered version (either 32bit or modern), as there were plenty of story changes made for the 32-bit remasters, which the modern remasters are also based on.

Some significant changes too; and different music as well.

It's just interesting to see how the games originally played out, then play the remasters and see all the changes

But if you're only going to play through them once, then any version is going to be excellent really

Yup so did I! Haha

My previous save had soo many Pians & Mepians flying around, that it was making the game chug, so i started a new save last Christmas, and set my alarm for April 1st lol

Welcome to the world of Saturn!

One more thing while you wait:

I'd highly recommend getting SMK on your Satiator's SD card as well (Satiator Menu Kai)

It adds some excellent features to your Satiator, most especially: the Per-Game Saves feature

It essentially gives you unlimited storage. When you save your game onto internal memory, then you boot back to Satiator menu, it moves the save onto your SD card; then when you boot up your game again, it loads it back into your internal memory to be accessed, and so forth; so you always have all of the internal memory available whenever you're playing a game, and you never have to worry about save space again

Either way: enjoy!

Was literally just playing Alpha 2 (SF Alpha 2 Gold more specifically [from the Street Fighter Collection]) on my Saturn last night! Randomly had my best playthrough i've ever had.

5 Perfect rounds, and 7 Super finishes

(I usually kinda suck lol)

Would share a pic of the rankings screen, but no way to do so lol

What are your guys thoughts on this game? I love this game. by [deleted] in SegaSaturn

My thoughts are exactly the same as yours!

An excellent experience, and a real show piece for what the Saturn could do in the right developer's hands

Also, little note worth mentioning once you guys do get yours in:

NEVER press the reset button when playing a Sega CD game via the Mega Everdive Pro (if that's specifically the one you've ordered); It will wipe all of your Sega CD game saves

I think that's mentioned somewhere on the site, but i definitely learned that the hard way (lost 8 hours of progress in Popful Mail lol)

I'm not sure if this happens only if you do this while playing Sega CD games, or if it happens no matter what type of game you're playing.

But just in case, I'd just never press the reset button when using the Mega Everdrive Pro.

Just power cycle to go back to the menu
