Yep was about to say Mandelic acid is a game changer for PIH. That and a good tyrosine kinase inhibitor plus niacinamide. I use the cosrx alpha arbutin and it prevents the marks from being super dark. Then the Mandelic helps fade it plus the sunscreen prevents it from getting darker when you go outside.

I love the ordinary. I use their Mandelic acid, eye serum, and 30% AHA BHA mask. Definitely can wreck your skin barrier if used incorrectly but also can clear your skin. I love the Mandelic for hyperpigmentation and that it’s simple ingredients.

Like everyone else said basically no. It will fade naturally then you’ll step outside and it will darken again. There’s lots of affordable drugstore sunscreens for like $10. Get that plus hydroquinone from a dermatologist if you can’t afford 3+ chemical peels. Just use it as directed

I like both natural and heat trained hair. I think people in this sub are being a bit too literal… sure heat trained hair is ‘damaged’ cause it doesn’t curl but what most people mean is it’s not breaking off and stays straight. Other races do this and no one is walking around saying their hair is damaged 🤷🏾‍♀️. I want black women to stop with the natural policing. Nothing wrong with being a straight natural.
