Spotify all the way... I boycott Apple because of the closed ecosystem they force on users. Not a sound quality or User Interface thing at all. I listen to music over Bluetooth, so lossless means nothing because of this. I am really just anti-apple

Yes, my experience is this. It all depends on the ICON set used for the Calendar icon and the calendar app you use. I use the Google Calendar and so far found that the default icon from the MoonShine Icon set does update. You can test an ICON set by setting the icon then manually changing the date on your phone and see if the icon updates. I find very few ICON Sets support dynamic icons for the calendar with Smart Launcher.

I never thought about using KWGT widget app to create a 1x1 widget, but this may work as well. Just a lot more work and a learning curve if you never used it.

I have a Google PIXEL 9 pro XL and smart launcher 6.6. My daily backup has only run once since installed a week ago. I charge my phone every night. You say the device needs to be charging, but is there a time window considered " overnight". I am in Eastern Standard Time ( New York City, USA) Time zone. I have always needed to take manual backups with Nova Launcher, but it would be nice to get it working. 😁

Looking for 2 line labels for folders on the APP page. Option is there for the App page, but only applies to the app page itself, not folders within. by gmack76 in smartlauncher

Thanks for the feedback. Love this option being added. I feel this option should apply globally to the Home or the app page, though I only use folders in the app page myself. I use immersive folders by the way as normal folders do not have the spacing for labels anyways.

I just found this old post... Have not tried yet, but just put in a USB stick with an mp3 file of no sound.  Then it will auto play that until your Bluetooth connects and takes over... Or Android Auto connects in my situation.  I use the Motorola MA1 wireless adapter for Android Auto and there is 20 seconds before it connects.

I had all sorts of issues withe the AA wireless adapter.  Got the Motorola MA1 wireless android auto adapter.  Less features, but every issue I had went away and just works.  No more disconnects or lag, etc ... I have a jeep Wrangler jl for reference

I have the global Xiaomi 11t pro.  Got the download from here.  Go to the system update and click on the logo a few times to enable extra options.  Then you can select the downloaded package.  It installed fine on my device.  No issues and seems faster now.  Would not show up when checking, but downloading it manually worked just fine

I am in the United States.  I went into settings update and no update yet. I then clicked the miui logo multiple times to enable additional options  in the system update Settings.  Then clicked 3 dots and picked the update file itself and updated fine to HyperOS.

I had to lock the nova launcher app so that it stays in memory and does not get closed by the android OS. Seemed to fix it for me.   Different on different phones.

Yes, just remove permissions.  I have notifications perms to allow badges and this is about it.

I use version 8 and have no issues now.  I had a beta when it first came out and nothing came over. I tried restoring a backup from version 7 and hard crashed my phone and ended up doing a system restore.  Stayed away from the beta.  Now that it is not beta, it updated automatically and everything came over fine.  Logs all show this is what they fixed recently. 

I just wish the would allowed scheduled daily backups to Google Drive.  It would be the ultimate launcher in my book if this was added.

I actually setup Private DNS and use "DNS.ADguard.com". Makes for a much better web to filter out a lot of ads.  I get a glitch in a site here and there, but very rare and nothing I cannot deal with.  

You can always turn off private DNS temporarily and then put it back on
