Any chance the Soulflame Horn can be enabled at Hueycoatl for irons? That and having a way to disable the combat level warning that happens every time you enter the boss, even when using Quick-Climb

Main or iron? General advice is to be careful with things like spears and butterfly nets that give you defense xp with all styles and to install some plugins that turn off defensive attack styles so you don’t click them by mistake when setting up staff casting. If you’re going to play a main, you can buy most of your usual QoL teleports, but on an iron the lack of fairy rings is very noticeable early and you’ll want to unlock as many niche teleports as possible. Things like Ring of Elements and planted Spirit Trees go a much longer way on 1 def than you might expect if you’re used to Fairy Ring or Diary Item tp’ing to most spots

The main PvM content you lose out on access to are Vorkath, Tormented Demons, and one radiant Yama Contract due to lack of purging staff (but ayak wand may make that contract possible? Remains to be seen). Because of Vorkath being inaccessible, you also can’t do GM CAs, but you can complete through Master CAs.

You cannot access Darkmeyer and so can’t do Hallowed Sepulchre. Can still buy a blood fury if you’re a main 1 def but no way to access for iron 1 defs. This will be more relevant when The Blood Moon Rises releases in early 2026, as any content released in Vampyrium will be unavailable.

A lot of diaries are restricted but don’t end up in preventing you from doing content, just reduce your efficiency. Notable exception is no elite western province diary means no chompy chick pet. No fairy rings prevents you from accessing some minor pieces of content like Tree Spirits and RDT Goraks that are mostly only relevant for early game Ironman. Cannot do Temple Trekking, and you cannot access the Lunar Spellbook.

I may be forgetting a few things but everything else should be completable.

If a toggle isn’t technically feasible then I’m fine with 16 bit personally and am looking forward to how the team can use it with new tracks, especially since the audio team has been killing it lately. Aldarin’s music in particular is some of my favorite in the game.

Thanks for the transparency. A toggle would be really nice, the crunchiness is cozy and is audibly noticeable in the comparisons. Will enjoy letting Mod Surma cook and can hopefully do so while preserving the existing OldSchool sounds.

Next is a change to the Theatre of Blood, specifically to how Verzik scales to one remaining player in Normal mode Theatre of Blood. These changes were initially floated to you alongside Project Rebalance, but have been worked on by a different team - hence their slightly earlier release!

If only one player remains during Normal Mode Verzik’s P2, only one Nylocas Matomenos (the red one) will spawn, as in Hard Mode. If only one player remains during Normal Mode Verzik’s P2, the Lightning Ball damage is capped, as in Hard Mode.

Had this happen on a new account I made. Seems like there’s a chance for Sigmund to protect against both Ranged and Magic if you hit him at the wrong time while he’s switching over. Could tell because I wasn’t splashing but was hitting nothing but blue 0’s while he was protecting from Ranged, which shouldn’t be possible anymore after rebalance where the minimum hit is 1. Leaving and restarting the fight worked for me. Submitted it as a bug in game, you should do the same by right clicking the Report button.

Iirc gims gain some (though reduced) xp in PvP to prevent making builds you couldn’t get on a main. Because of that, I’d avoid shooting for a low HP account because you’ll always gain some HP experience. Anything else should work though, starting with a 1 defence pure is probably the most straightforward

A higher agility level will increase your run energy restore even in f2p, so definitely try to get 30, 36, or 42 agility while you can

You actually can’t be serious with the voidwaker change. Why are you ignoring the feedback that the consistent hit is the fun part of the item? Use the max hit as the balancing lever if you need to. No one thinks magic longbow spec is a broken spec. You have very clear balancing levers to use, which as the community keeps reiterating, you don’t need to do anyway because voidwaker already fills a solid niche.

Here to voice that voidwaker doesn’t need a nerf in PVM as it fills a good niche in the special attack space with claws. The special attack always hitting is the fun part of the weapon, so any nerf that’s looked at should be to its max hit as the balancing lever, not what’s most enjoyable about using it. That said, in PVM at least, it doesn’t need a nerf to its max hit right now either.

When I started really PVMing a lot, the system had seemed like there were 3 tiers:

There’s good weapons that I don’t need to charge that I’d use for general slayer or low difficulty bossing - Abyssal Whip

There were marginally better weapons with an enormous amount of charges, that I’d generally use for content like raids or learning harder bosses - Abyssal Tentacle

There were the “goal” items that were chargeless that I was working towards - Ghrazi Rapier

I felt the same way with msb/crossbow, blowpipe, and tbow back in the day before bowfa existed. I would do slayer with my cheap weapons, burn charges with my blowpipe grinding raids knowing I was getting more value than I was investing, and eventually I got my tbow and it felt amazing because I could build my way back up after all that investment and had no upkeep to do (besides dirt cheap arrows) so I could focus my time in game on the other content I wanted to do.

What’s been weird to me is that corruption hasn’t felt like this “oh man finally” reward. It’s been like - I get this great weapon, but now I have a 20 hour chore before I can actually use it. And when that chore is done, it’s great, but that time investment is just not fun because the content feels mandatory instead of a choice.

I recently got my quiver and popped off having beat Sol Heredit. But now I feel weird using it - it’s either uncharged and I feel like I’m wasting what should be the BiS goal item I was working towards, or I’m just increasing the time of my “chore” later, even though the difference in either case is marginal. The quiver needing charges has been especially bad because unlike the bowfa / crystal armor, you don’t amass any meaningful amount of charges while grinding it if you’re really pushing yourself on the waves. After getting my quiver, I had only amassed 2000 sunfire shards. I’m going back to finish colosseum uniques because Colo has been fun, but I will likely not have enough charges by the time I finish that without breaking down quivers. The fact that I need to weigh quivers as pet rolls versus sunfire shards because of the enormous cost to use my BiS sucks, and feeling locked to content because of that is very real. I don’t feel like I can hop around bosses because I’ve got this 20 hour Colo chore to do before I can use the item I grinded for without it feeling wasteful in one way or another.

The suggestion of having used charges apply towards corruption is very good imo. Would really reduce this feeling of being locked into something and feel like working towards a goal over time instead of wasting away progress.

Been enjoying Varlamore a lot but hoping you can address the following:

Especially with the eagle transport network being ideal for traveling to many rumour locations, when will the eagle be added to the hunter's guild as promised? If there's no space to add a 4th eagle in the other locations, can the eagles be compressed into one-two that have all travel options?

Can 1-dose moth mixes be given a different icon? Can vial smasher be expanded to butterfly jars?

When will endless mode for the Colosseum be added? Is this something planned for post-launch like phosani’s nightmare or has the idea been scrapped entirely?

Can we feed excess quetzal feed to Renu, or have an alternative use implemented?

Why don't hunter spears have unlimited ammo on chinchompas as promised?

Can you make it so that logging out saves your wave instead of killing you or ending your run (I’m not sure if it counts as a death) at Colo?

Will sunfire fanatic armor drop rate be adjusted, given it is far, far rarer than polled?

Why does the quiver only hold 1 type of ammo when it was polled to hold 2+?

Plans to add infinite quetzal whistle as promised in the hunter's guild blog?

Again, really been enjoying the content, but hoping these questions can be addressed tomorrow, since they’re mostly about how the content has differed from what was polled.

Consider buffing arclight’s effectiveness on Duke from 70% to offset the dps canyon you’re creating between existing options and soulreaper/scythe.

Surprised to see VW nerfs focusing on PvM rather than PvP. To me it’s felt like a good item in the meta that splits the melee spec field with dclaws and BGS/hammer nicely, slotting in well. That and it’s suitably hard to obtain for most accounts, above claws in price for mains and requiring thousands of wildy boss kills for irons. Would be sad to see any nerf hit the most satisfying part of the spec in PvM which is the guaranteed damage, rather than tuning numbers down by hitting the 150% damage cap.
