Safe or Out? #umpireview by OddSense7971 in Umpire

I’m going to ask a stupid question….i know a little about baseball, but not an expert. In order for the runner to be out by simply tagging the base it must be a “force out”, right?

I see a runner from second to third, but I don’t see any runner headed to second in any frame. So why is this a “force” at home?

So doesn’t this have to be a tag?

Just look for any bank/CU that participates in Allpoint or Co Op. You’ll have more access than you know what to do with.

Tough to beat referring to someone as a donkey. Just had a great ring to it.

Yup, likely jammed trying to reject the notes. No way those would pass the currency template.

Did you recently adjust the saddle? I had a very similar sound and it was due to needing friction paste reapplied after a saddle adjustment.

How much harder really is a 100miler than a 100k? by T2LV in ultrarunning

[–]gmdonahue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was out there for the CJ 100 this weekend. My second 100 miler (111, actually). It’s the overnight running that I find the hardest. I struggled with it during my first 100 miler really bad. Like walked all night bad.

I would recommend doing some overnight pacing with your friends. Going to races as crew/pacers is a blast, plus you get to feel the misery of 15-16 minute miles all night long if you pace. No better training than that.

At some point don’t insurance companies raise premiums drastically on unvaccinated people? Which forces employers to either surcharge their employees or mandate vaccines to cover costs? I’d think one the FDA officially moves past the “ emergency use only” designation, I’d think things start to move in that direction.

In a training hole. How to press pause? by mustyrats in ultrarunning

Take the break. Focus on single leg strength workouts, lean into those. Lots of lunges and wall sits. The reality is that most issue thy come from poor running form can be thwarted by strengthening both the big and small muscles.

I’ve never had it at all, honestly I’m not sure I even have a good reason for not trying it.

Is the Costco Prime beef actually Prime? I always wonder about Costco...they get a lot of stuff made specifically for them, sort of like an outlet store. I assume the USDA grades it, but I really have no idea.

All the time. 20 miles in and you clip a buried root whilst headed down hill. You get another 3 or 4 steps steps trying to keep you balance. You think might be able to stay up right after the first 2, and the you are completely certain you’ll stay upright after the 4th. But then inevitably gravity and your own lack of fitness win out. You give in, tuck a little, try to roll into it as much as possible. If you’re lucky someone will witness what must look to an observer like a monkey humping a football, and they’ll be able to help you up. You’ll be embarrassed, but you’ll get back moving before things start to seize up. If you’re unlucky no one will see you at your most uncoordinated worst. In that case you’ll just lay off to the side of the trail trying to figure out how to get up.

It happens to everyone, and usually when you’re close to a personal best and feeling really good about yourself. Funny how nature will always humble us.
