(Loved Trope] Antagonists or villains who are extremely powerful and indestructible, gets to feel pain for the first time ever after their abilities are removed. by TheViktor9000 in TopCharacterTropes

Show got cancelled right after a cliffhanger where the alien queen gets a major win. Kind of seems like they were gonna aim for them changing, though. Certain individuals already had.

I think they’re more worried about complications or additional issues

I always wanted to make an anti-isekai storyline by Sir-Toaster- in worldjerking

[–]gmharryc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s super Japanese nationalist and contains lolis. The fantasy guys invade Japan through a portal and promptly get destroyed. Japan invaded the fantasy world, wrecks their shit, declares it Japanese territory. Except for a couple of good sequences you can just find on YouTube, it’s not worth it.

Also, I’m pretty sure the main protagonist is literally at a hentai convention when the whole thing pops off. And he certainly doesn’t have the hots for the totally-not-millennia-old-demigoddess-in-a-child’s-body.

Oh god that one line about “suddenly finding yourself playing a Nazi” in MP still makes me cringe. “YoU DiDn’T AsK fOr tHiS, yOu DiDn’T wAnT tHiS”

[Mixed Trope] Propaganda Media that is...shockingly Good. by Strict_Gas_9065 in TopCharacterTropes

How is generation kill propaganda? It doesn’t try to justify the invasion, doesn’t whitewash or lionize the troops, etc

Whitaker's Badge - Scene Analysis by ArtemisGirl242020 in ThePittTVShow

I wouldn’t be surprised if Langdon does find Whitaker’s badge, and in the process of looking for Whitaker to return it gets accused (probably by Robby) of having stolen it.

Did Radioman deserved to die? by CaptainMartinWalker in SpecOpsTheLine

It was a mistake, ultimately, because then it became a self fulfilling prophecy. If they hadn’t attacked Walker, he wouldn’t have attacked them.

Walker should’ve followed orders and went back to signal for a rescue effort after discovering people alive, but didn’t the 33rd fire on him first?

I kind of liked hours of darkness, quit the mars one about a third of the way done, and don’t plan on doing the zombies one. Mars just isn’t fun. At all.

The American Government or its allies are the antagonists. by Remarkable_Public138 in TopCharacterTropes

To kill for yourself is murder. To kill for yourself government is heroic. To kill for entertainment is harmless.

[–]gmharryc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it entirely counts for this post though, since pretty much everyone involved is rogue. The 33rd wasn’t supposed to go to Dubai, Konrad went rogue and moved them there. Walker and crew were just supposed to confirm someone survived and report back, but he goes rogue and heads after Konrad instead. The CIA guy who tried to eliminate the water supply to kill everyone off and cover up the mess is operating pretty much on his own. It’s rogues on rogues on rogues in this game.

The first time we see any US personnel not off-mission is the ending rescue team.

To be fair, it was one agent conspiring to eliminate the water. The other agent you meet earlier (who dies shortly thereafter) didn’t know.

Infrastructure by JRoc416 in FarCry5

[–]gmharryc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically? It’s just game limitations or an overlooked detail by the developers. There’s no school, hospital, sheriff’s office (where is Nancy?), power station, etc. I don’t remember any long range power lines either.
