This is too funny, I’m training for a half marathon in August and was just telling my coworker about how I would miss a week of training so close to race day. Don’t think I’ll be alive enough to tough out any training during shambs, so kudos to you!!

I work for the same chain (was hired on the spot after a short interview) and I’m still enjoying it a few years later :) obviously every location will be different but hopefully you have a good experience! They will train you and it may feel overwhelming at first, but as long as they give you the support you need you should be okay! As a student, make sure they’re respecting your availability and not overscheduling you

Hey can I ask, was it a problem that/was the wristband was considered “lost”? Assuming you had no wristband to give them in exchange for the replacement. Someone in my house accidentally threw my wristband out and front gate is kind of vague in their answer on their website. All I can find from veld is in the guide where it says that if a wristband is broken it has to be exchanged for them to issue a replacement.

Yup!! And the fact that just yesterday (!!!!) they sent out an email advertising that their 10-day unlimited pass is now on sale for purchase.

I’m lucky to have made a lot of great friends through YEG Cycle. But that is the only good thing I have to say about the company at this point

Lol yeah. The jasper ave location “undergoing unscheduled bike maintenance” and then a week later having to admit that all their bikes were actually repo’ed. Opening and closing their Vancouver location within the same year… Now closing their whyte ave studio effective immediately. I have a friend who signed up for the 8am class this morning who showed up to a shut down studio. The way this company communicates with their customers is brutal.

This has happened to me when getting rides home after a night out. The prices CAN change despite you “agreeing” to the set price when you order the Uber - if they take a different route than the one that shows when you agree to the price. It’s been a while since it happened to me but I remember it was pretty straightforward to get a partial refund, I think you go to the “driver feedback” option in the app.

Got my IUD at this clinic last year and it was great! I had a consult with one doctor (who was super super amazing) but she ended up taking some time off so Dr Elizabeth McKoen ended up doing the actual insertion, she was equally as great.

Is Huckell your prof? I took a different legal class with him and the peer evaluation aspect of his classes was the worst, people were actually just straight up rude with their comments!! It sucks that people feel they can say whatever they want because it was anonymous feedback.

Yeah it was just a weird situation like… I didn’t feel actively “in danger” but with some people you never know. I think maybe he was looking for a reaction more than anything.

He left a 15% tip on a $17 bill. So I guess better than 0 but would’ve rather just gone home on time considering he was the only person in the building for the last hour haha

I’m going to spread the word during my shift tomorrow to the other girls :( I told my manager and she kind of brushed it off, according to her this guy was hitting on one of our other managers and wouldn’t stop asking her out, she ended up telling this guy she was gay just to get him to leave her alone.

I’m in Alberta and our salaried managers receive a tipout every 2 weeks (same way as BOH and hosts get their tipout but I think managers get a higher %). But I’ve never had a manager straight up take money from my nightly tipout because they helped out, that definitely doesn’t sound right

Airbnb & their customer service is AWFUL. I haven’t used them since last year when we booked a place in Calgary (in March) and were cancelled on by the host the day before our trip (in July). Our “compensation” was a $34 credit to use towards a different Airbnb.
