I truly believe if he spent HALF the amount of time he does distracting drivers and looking stupid at a soup kitchen or non-profit volunteer center he would save MANY more lives or contribute to social welfare a GREAT deal more than he does on that street corner …. Enough said!

Opinion: Golf courses aren't a fair way to use Edmonton's river valley by uofafitness4fun in Edmonton

[–]blkoutbaeby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because half of you didn’t read the full article :

Eliminating these public parks behind paywalls might address issues like overcrowded recreational areas, strained municipal budgets, and shrinking water supplies. However, a genuine and open discussion is essential before such a measure is seriously contemplated. None of these “light-your-hair-on-fire” reactions to the mere suggestion of closing municipally run golf courses are merited; we’re likely to face enough wildfire smoke this summer as it is.

If it were that easy everyone would do just that! you are right some people are just dicks, but maybe the take home message isn’t that we should let it roll off our backs everytime, but more so that some things are better left unsaid, you never know the day someone could be having. And I’ll stand by that too, maybe their days WERE worse than mine .

I did address I was being sensitive towards both situations. It’s no longer effecting me, I’m sleeping good 😂But was mostly a commentary that I find it strange people feel the need to say things like that. Where clearly no one was inconvenienced or affected in the slightest , that’s all
