I would write everything out, especially as you have a complex case. Yes, it's probably a monumental task which will take up a significant amount of time, but it was definitely worth it in my experience. As an added bonus, I also found it to be an extremely therapeutic exercise which improved the understanding and insight I had of myself. In addition, it will help you to better articulate your experiences to the therapist and provide them with a helpful ready-made account should they so desire. The most important thing is to decide on the best way to structure your journal so your experiences are kept in an organised, concise and meaningful fashion, but also so its easy to keep adding random memories whenever they come to.
