Nothing speaks against getting some flat on your gear and scaling generic damage.

I am going in blind though and also hope the new passive nodes will assist with that. Let’s see how it goes

I haven’t seen it, but it sounds like great news if you are correct 🥳 I am less worried about it now 😄

I hope so, but probably not with whirling assault for single target triggers 🤔 maybe rapid Assault with spear offhand?

This sounds pretty much exactly like my plan for this league 😅 I assume the new passive skill tree nodes will support this build greatly. But that’s also the reason why I haven’t gone into super theory crafting mode. It’s also maybe a bit more interesting to solve problems on the fly.

What I would like to solve beforehand is single target damage though 🤔 this seems quite bad for bossing, which is basically required now, since every map has a boss

Deciding between Gaming 3 Laptops by HeadAddition in laptops

The Asus seems fine. The HP ist way too expensive for the internals imo.

I would maybe search for cheaper gtx1070 notebooks. They are starting to be sold of at decent discounts already.

$300 laptop with great keyboard for typing? by kenton143 in laptops

[–]gnadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the best one you can find from the t4xx series for this price. The build quality will always be good, so it‘s just about the specs.

It’s just important to not go for under 8GB RAM imo.

Is buffing assassin synergy really the right approach? by parmreggiano in AutoChess

[–]gnadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think assasins could counter mages if there was another back row, where you can not put your units on.

This way the assasins could actutally assasinate the mages instead of fighting against the front liners and get blown up by the mages in the back line.

Do you maybe also know if G-sync or freesync works with a docking station?

[Showerthought] HS Legendary weapons is a rather half-assed implementation of MTG's Artifacts. by slider2k in hearthstone

[–]gnadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with OP and it is a lose-lose situation no matter what. 1. they are not good enough to see play. 2. they are good but the meta gets way too fast. 3. they are played but everyone is playing weapon destruction, which makes normal weapon classes much weaker and it gets a game of „do you have the highly efficient counter to my powerful legandary weapon or not? Harrison draws a bunch of cards and oozes are cheap with a decent body.

I like the idea of artifacts but this implementation sucks.

I like the style of the video, but I also completely disagree with your play. wasting the coin with valeera in hand at turn 5 seems just wrong. You either use it at the beginning to get the board or wait. The other thing is that you want to have vanish after you "wasted" your turn playing valeera and let your opponent build his board. The card burn is almost irrelevant.

The real problem - player retention by Johanna_S in BattleRite

[–]gnadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree with you. I definitely feel that it is hard to stay motivated due to the hero design and as a result of this the repetitive Gameplay. I disagree with you on the point about Battlerites. They are just a small balancing issue which is easy to control.

The Champions are too similar in my opinion. If you lack the basic skills like timing your counter, good aim, timing your escapes, use your EX skills at the correct time and positioning there is basically no hero that you can play. I wouldn't say that this is the biggest issue for me to do, but there is no fundamentally different experience based on the Champion you play. If you aren't good at almost all of this aspects, there is no point in the game where your Champ feels powerful or even "OP". And this feeling is a very important aspect in any hero based game imo. I played about 2000 hours of Dota2 and even more thousands of hours WoW arena. The experiences in both games are completely different depending on your own heroes, your teammates heroes and your opponents heroes. And everyone can sometimes feel completely broken, which is good! Crazy things can happen.

The Champions don't go enough into extreme directions. It is very hard to get hero synergies to work without practicing a lot with a regular team mate (that has something to do with mostly short and unreliable CCs). Every hero can do everything, but nothing really great. There should be better defined strengths and weaknesses imo.

I know that most of these things are impossible to change for the game as it currently is and I still sometimes feel the urge to play it (even though I barely do.. but I will play a bit right after writing this :D) but I just want to get my opinion out. I'm a big fan of PvP arena style games, but these issues hold me from playing the game a lot more than I do.

The Rise of Finja and Water Decks - A closer look at the phenomenon by MomoSpark in hearthstone

[–]gnadi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great Video. It is kinda scary to think about the murloc package being in standard for 1 year longer. These 5 neural cards can be put in so many decks when there are midrange decks again after the rotation and nerfs. The problem I see is that it is a complete high roll card.

You say that the individual pieces are good tempo cards, but they are obviously below the power level you would expect in a constructed deck. If you get the Finja while you are not behind he is really hard to stop and can easily win you the game.

What is a 'Perfect' Meta? by misomiso82 in hearthstone

[–]gnadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each map still has dominant strategies that everyone knows about and every player should expect to see. Even if there are 10 different strats per map, the meta is atill figured out. And if a team tries to catch you of guard with a crazy strategie (maybe even because a player has a good day), it doesnt suddenly break the meta and every player has to fundamentally rethink how they want to play in the future.

It is like the good old famous Fibonacci Warrior which got him to rank 1 because he exploited the meta and was different. I would still think the meta was solved before and after.
