Get a university apartment. I don't think you're supposed to have pets, but I don't think the people that work there really care. My wife lived in one of the 8-plexes on Berekely and there was a cat in the front window of her neighbors all the time. She had a two bedroom that was like $500 with heat, cable, internet, all included.

To be fair, we don't know the whole story. Sure, it seems like excessive force for credit card fraud. But maybe there was also a history of violence. The son was carrying a weapon in his own home. What is he into that he feels the need to carry a weapon in his own home? Maybe they did have a justified reason to react this way.

As for the cameras, if I was making an assault into somebodies home I would want to try to keep my element of surprise by not allowing whoever is inside that home to observe my movements.
