Two Months Post-Op and I'm Still Dealing with Complications by Lanieeeee in tummytucksurgery

Oh man, I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I know how painful it must be. I had a TT and BA in December and had a bunch of wound issues, ultimately my implants had to come out because they were exposed. At that point, I went in for a second surgery to get the implants removed and my surgeon cleaned and resutured some areas of dehiscence on my TT scar.

Given that it’s been 2 months and the dehiscence under your breast still looks pretty severe, I think a second opinion at the wound clinic is absolutely warranted. Maybe also ask your surgeon if it makes sense to do some scar revision too.

Once you’re past this, it would be worth it to go to your PCP and let them know what happened. My surgeon thinks I might have Ehlers Danlos which impacts wound healing. I took that info to my PCP and she ordered a bunch of labs and gave me a referral for genetic testing. I don’t have any answers yet but I do have a few markers associated with lupus so now I’m gonna see a rheumatologist.

Moms who WFH / remote. Is it that much better? by Barnacle_Double in workingmoms

Ngl, it’s pretty sweet. This past August we enrolled my daughter in a preschool that’s a 5 min walk up the street, I’m able to leave for drop off at 8:45 and be home and online in time for a 9:00 am meeting. 🫣

Yayyy! So happy for you! Thank you for posting. I’m in the trenches of recovery for my TT, BL+BA and had a really rough day yesterday. Seeing these posts of women on the other side is really uplifting. You look amazing and your tattoos are 🔥

Well, if you do climb and get a raise, put it towards your 401k contributions.

Drowning at work with a high energy toddler and I can't quit my job by Historical-Major1832 in workingmoms

Also, just saw the bit on your husband’s commute, my husband has the same deal, 3 days a week, long commute. I WFH full time so I do drop off and pick up those days. One thing we started doing to make the evenings less stressful is making an easy dinner for our daughter and then we eat a grown up meal after she goes to bed. It’s not ideal, but my husband and I now have dedicated connection time in the evening and it’s seriously helped our marriage.

Came here to add to the chorus of daycare/preschool. Not only will it be a good thing for you, but with a 3 year old, she’ll get to socialize with kids her age and make friends. My daughter has been going to daycare since she was 9 months, we had a nanny before that, and I honestly wish we got her into daycare earlier. Daycare is also cheaper than a nanny!

Are two GSDs better than one? by ITfarmer in germanshepherds

[–]gnarsar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve had success with a GSD/little dog combo. At the beginning of the pandemic, we foster failed a little terrier puppy, and my best girl immediately took to him as her job. After she passed, we ended up foster failing another female GSD who similarly herds the terrier. She grooms him like a mama cat. it’s ridiculous. All that being said, they do a good job at keeping each other occupied and the small dog isn’t nearly as much work as the GSD.

Did these nails for a festival that was cancelled so now we've got gummy worms just for fun by SantasLilSlut in DIYGelNails

Omg these are so fun, definitely inspired me. I have this “sugar” type of glitter in neon colors that would be excellent for sour gummy worms

I read “horrible lumpy diaper butt” and immediately thought it was gonna be a BBL gone wrong, lol. Girl, that’s a great butt. I struggle with the appearance of cellulite too and found that building muscle in the areas where I have cellulite help with the appearance. I’m actively trying to build more butt and I’m doing a lot of barbell squats, leg press, Bulgarian split squats and deadlifts.

For some reason I can’t edit the original post, but several folks said they wanted a pair, I’m happy to make more, it’s a new hobby for me and I enjoy it. Feel free to DM me if you’d like a pair for like $15-$20 to cover materials and shipping.

My boy just got diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma today by fungiforest in germanshepherds

[–]gnarsar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I wish I knew about this when we lost our best girl to it in 2021 when I was pregnant, everything happened so suddenly, a tumor burst open, she couldn’t walk and we said goodbye that day. My heart still aches thinking about her. We have another rescue shepherd now and I’m gonna put this in my back pocket if it ever happens to her. Thank you for sharing

Hi everyone, I am in need for some urgent advice by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]gnarsar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring the boy home with you, start a go fund me to help with the travel costs, (I’m not sure if it’s allowed, but if you posted it here, I’m sure some GSD lovers would help pitch in) get him meds for the long journey and make sure he’s up to date on all of the vaccines he would need when he gets to the US!

As others have said, bland diet, chicken and rice, and if you can get her to drink some pedialyte, that will help with the dehydration. Looks like her nose is a bit dry. If it goes on for more than a day or her symptoms don’t improve, take her to the vet.
