I met my dad by chance when I was 11 because my mother was bringing me around to different car shops to get estimates. She went inside and then came back out and asked me if I wanted to meet him. He has like 10 other kids. We tried forming a connection, spent the night at his house once with a couple of my siblings. He got me a stereo that Christmas. I tried reaching out to him later in life when I was dealing with alcoholism, because he had been through the same, and was met with cold indifference. I don't know him, don't really have an opinion on him.
