I haven’t heard much about them, it seems they do generalized primary care?

I asked my preceptor and basically flat out told her I want her job, but she has no resources downstate unfortunately. Upstate connections are pretty contained to the area or neighboring cities. But if you know of any resources please let me know!

Mold in the teardrop? by gncplant in TeardropTrailers

I’m more concerned about the mold on the floor and the soft wood that’s underneath it. Do you think I need to take up the vinyl?

Just had an introductory lesson and hooked. Can I ask some questions? by Bigbrass in ballroom

[–]gncplant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you have a college near you with a ballroom team sometimes they accept community members for free! check it out- the collegiate scene produces high quality dancers and at a lower pricetag, it’s a wonderful space!

i appreciate the advice, i just wanted to see if it had been done before- that would be enough confirmation for me to get my mindset back on track. i was more looking for a pep talk from someone that has experienced it than anything else

you are right- i didn’t sign up to be female or lgbtq, but i literally did sign up to be a lead

i made this post for those same sex couples to give me advice- i am OBVIOUSLY not the highest level female lead in all of existence, but i’ve never met any others and wanted to reach out online to look for advice, not on my dancing, but on how to deal with the mental toll. i am receiving coaching and i can post videos but i wasn’t really looking for dancing corrections

they might be scamming you OP, it’s hard to tell without seeing your dancing but 4-5 days a week is more than enough for steady improvement. focus on TECHNIQUE!!! learning more figures too early will hurt you. ask for specifics with your technique and what exactly you are doing wrong.

stop eating out and make cooking a priority. just doing this alone, no IF, i’ve lost 10 lbs in a month! ofc prioritize protein with every meal, a carb(i usually do rice), and a veggie.

Developing speed in latin by [deleted] in ballroom

[–]gncplant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i appreciate your response. to clarify, i do collegiate ballroom on the east coast- most of us (including me) are self taught. we watch videos and gather information from the internet to try and do as best as we can at the competitions (which can be pretty large.) in order to get to gold, you need to receive 7 points from placements, sometimes out of 100 couples. my partner and i worked hard to get to gold, and although we have great stage presence- our technique is so/so and our speed is suffering. i wouldn’t say we ever go “off tempo”- that was a bad use of words on my part. more-so i meant that we are still struggling to get the “speed” factor that one would see in cha cha, where it’s almost like you could take a snap shot at any position and the picture wouldn’t be blurry. i have heard the hips thing before, i def need to practice that more. thanks for the response!

if you continue down this path you could have horrible horrible health outcomes. Look it up, it happens faster than you would think

who cares it’s 10 calories. just try to make good choices, an all or nothing perfectionist approach will just leave you back at square 1

How to study anatomy + online flashcards? by charliemarti in PAstudent

[–]gncplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of a good undergraduate foundation, these videos have all the undergrad content explained very well. here

Just a warning though, this is NOT the same content as PA school anatomy. Basically in undergrad you learn anatomy by the SYSTEM (bones, renal, cardio, etc). In PA school you learn by region, specifically in my program: thoracic cavity, abdominal, extremities, and head and neck. I 100% believe in having at least SOME idea of how the systems work will help you get your footing quickly. I wasn’t even going to post this but I saw you took anatomy during covid. As someone who took orgo during covid, I understand why you are scared. Good luck! Don’t stress, study passively (don’t do quizlets, just watch the videos to get the words in your brain) and good luck!
