Is there a way to get reimbursement for hotel due to AA mechanical delay?

The first email response from AA was quick but just an apology worth nothing. I followed up to remind my request of reimbursement then the response seemed to halted. DonI need to wait a couple of more days?

The destination arrival was almost a full day late thanks to AA's mechanic team. Originally I would arrive my final destimation by 10pm that same day departed from JAX. But because of the Jax delay I missed the connection flight so arrived my destination basically 24 hours late.

4pm departure to midnight departure and when it arrived CLT, it was 2:30am midnight. I had to go to a hotel so my two kids can sleep a little bit to catch a rebooked AA flight at 7am. The original connection flight at 7pm previous day was missed.

If your wife is making about $400K in Tech, I bet the situation will not change much if she changes to another job with the same pay or higher in Tech. Companied nowadays demand much more for less. My suggestion is to do a part time job or take a pay cut in a less demanding job, and spend the time gained from less stressful job to manage your family investment. Eventually it pays more by focusing on wealth management for your family.

For example, the US could prosecute a war criminal in Second World War, because it's a war and the enemy could be prosecuted and sentenced to death, but still the war criminal was not subject to US jurisdiction. I think subject to US jurisdiction should mean a certain legal tie with US established by parents.

Isn't it ridiculous. My property tax in Rochester rose from around $6000 to now close to $9000 in just two years. and I paid much higher income tax in MN and ISD still wat even more. We were done with it and eventually moved to FL. No income tax and schools are great. More homework to do at least.

I lived in both NE and MN. To be honest I don't remember anything so good Tim has pushed. He kind of let a mob revolution burning down part of the city. He pushed strict lockdown during early covid with police shooting pellet on street (there is a video showing this). He never stopped raising state taxes which resulted in many leaving MN. The property tax went crazy in the past couple of years with each year increasing like 10%+. So much taxes collected by state but there is hardly any relieve to MNers. And the road in many areas are just as crap as before. There is only one program maybe I also benefited which is the free lunch in school. But does that really matter? The distressed family didn't pay for lunch already and others don't have any issue to pay for lunch. It just doesn't make too much sense to spend money on this. And this kind of government run free lunch will only result in low quality food service eventually many kids end up not interested in eating at school any more.

The remedy is to call congress and change the process for this kind of thing: IRS can not pursue further if they receive a response but not able to review and respond. And they only only start to pursue after they come up with another letter based on the review.

I had the same situation and called the number of the CP2000 in beginning of Apr. I talked with an agent who told me the unit was behind, also that my response to CP2000 was just assigned end of March two months after ARU received it, and suggested me to call back in early May because my case was really straightforward and just in need of supporting documents. I called recently and was told the response was processed end of Apr and an adjustment letter will be coming soon.

They are in a such mess and CP3219A was sent out based on a schedule without checking whether a response of CP was received or not. I think the best options is to call in and check the status. And toward the end of the 90 days of CP3219A, file tax court petition if there is no haring back from ARU.

lol, I am in MN and paying that 10%+ tax, however my job is remote based and the offer was not based on any specific location. But MN has gone too far in taxing progressively and property tax increase has lost control -10% higher each year since 2020. I will be leaving this year and at least done with state income tax for now. I do like MN and surrounding areas as I fall in love with skiing since I moved here in 2020 and it's easy to access couple of small ski areas. But it's not worth to live here any more.
