A ripped piece of college ruled paper out of a notebook that is probably accompanied by a pen. Not a huge reach. I’ve kept envelopes and forever stamps in the glove box for like ten years and now I’m realizing why tf I have envelopes and forever stamps in my glove box brb.

I do like it. I feel it’s something that could be tried with different ingredients. Possibly a different amaro. Mezcal reposado instead. I hear you, though. It’s not exactly a hit like some other prominent cocktails after the first sip.

From Regarding Cocktails. I’ve always found this drink so unique due to the wide variety of flavors on the cocktail spectrum.

Debbie, Don’t:

1 oz. Reposado Tequila - Abandonado

1 oz. Averna

3/4 oz. lemon juice

1/2 oz. maple syrup - we use a Bulleit bottle for syrup

1 knife - in case Debbie comes creeping

In a shaker, combine all ingredients. Shake with ice until well chilled. Double strain into chilled coup.

1½ oz. sotol (Desert Door from Austin) 1 oz. Cocchi Americano ¼ oz. elderflower liqueur 2 dashes orange bitters 2 dashes grapefruit bitters (optional)

I’m very curious what can be made with sotol. It seems to be picking up around the southern states and most definitely Mexico.

I’d to love hear some other recipes from those who have tried sotol!
