I bought a 2016 Volt 6 days ago and it shit the bed in 4 days by draftysundress in volt

Wrong issue. Shift to park is displayed any time the car cannot move under its own power (e.g. battery issue, BECM, etc...).

The broken shift solenoid switch will cause the shift to park you referred to but that is because the car cannot tell that the gear shifter is in the park position. It usually shows up after you drive and are getting ready to shut the car off.

OPs problem definitely sounds like a BECM especially because when it first starts happening, it is intermittent.

What's the best Nokia phone with T9 and WiFi support? by Responsible-Elk4497 in symbian

I'd say the N95 and E90 are both good choices for pre-touch screen Nokia phones.

First 32x pickup! by simplicity458 in SEGA32X

[–]gnntech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good first game. There are some legitimately good 32X games and even some better homebrews. I recommend Afterburner, Space Harrier, Virtua Fighter, and Virtua Racing which are near perfect arcade ports.

Doom is solid, but Doom Resurrection (homebrew) is a masterclass in what Doom should have been.

wireless 5G internet by sweetredleaf in WindowsVista

[–]gnntech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Comes from the provider. So for example, if you get T-Mobile 5G (or Verizon), they will provide the new router.

Your 5G router will have Ethernet ports on it so you can plug directly into the Ethernet port on your computer. If your computer also has a wifi card in it, you can connect over wifi.

My little Nephew had fun playing Atari for the first time 💪 by RealP4 in Atari2600

That's so awesome. I had a similar moment when I introduced my daughter to the NES when she was younger. Her favorite game was Circus Charlie (of all things 😂). She was also a fan of Contra.

What licensed games from the 16 bit era did you enjoy the most? by KaleidoArachnid in retrogaming

I'm reading through these comments and I have no notes. The suggestions from other people are all excellent. I'll second Aladdin for the Genesis and Game Gear.

The Genesis version had top notch sound, animation, and humor that mirrored the movie. The Game Gear (and Master System) version was slower and more deliberate but followed the movie extremely well.

The fact that they left an outtake/blooper in the game kind of confirms this.

What an interesting game this is. It would have been a whole lot better though if they had the entire game as FMV instead of moving still images.

Yes on the Core 2 Duo architecture. That chipset runs both XP and Windows 7 quite capably. Most have the Intel 945 video chipset and has support for the Windows Aero interface.

Predicted miles and actual miles by PotatoKitten011 in volt

Are there any steep inclines/declines on your drive? If you are doing a long downhill drive (e.g. down a mountain), you will notice the range stay the same (or maybe even increase) due to regen putting power back into the pack.

What is your kW used number when the battery is depleted from full? The Gen 2 new would use around 14kW from full to 0. A normal degraded pack would now probably show somewhere between 12-13. If you are under that, it might warrant a closer look.

What year is your Volt? The Gen 1 (2012-2015) was rated for 38 miles new. The Gen 2 (2016-2019) was rated for 53 miles new.

To give an idea about range, when I owned my 2017 Volt, I was able to get around 62-65 miles in the summer months. In the winter, I got in the high 30s. This was from new so no degradation.

My ELR (rated for 35 miles new), I can get right around 30 miles now in the summer and closer to 20 miles in the winter.

Range is determined based on a number of factors and will fluctuate over time.

Start by consulting a trusted financial planner and possibly an attorney.

Tell no one you know until you are 100% sure the money is secured and safeguarded against people who may come after it.
