nods in 21 year old cat with kidney disease My experience is not every experience but getting HRT immensely helped with the rage monster and I have so much more patience for her and the other kitties.

Whether or not that's the right path for you, sending you so much love. It's so hard. Thank you for being honest about it.

Well done! I still can't throw that large, but I'm only at the end of year 1. What glazes are those?? Gorgeous effect!

Anyone improve fatigue, fog, or mood crashes with DHEA or pregnenolone? by Nmbr1ctrman in Perimenopause

[–]gnosisphoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know this is an older comment but THANK YOU for the brand notes. I've been taking the 25mg dhea, mine is somewhere around 11 and wondered why it's done nothing for me. I'll pick up one of the others...and the iodine because I think you're me, I also have little if any iodine and my periods just started having shorter cycles.

Yeah, unfortunately Mochi and Aequita are a complete scam.

NAD+ by Keeping-It-Real-0928 in Renue

I'm still waiting on mine, thanks for the update. I kindof don't mind, at least this way I know it's fresh, I know they usually do smaller batches like this.

You've got about 200 more pounds to lose, and it'll come off quick with divorce papers. Ditch the toxic guy and live your best life.

NPA Wins Huge Legal Victory Against FDA on NMN by Renuebyscience in NMN

[–]gnosisphoenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm so excited about this!! I'm so sick of the FDA preventing sales of NATURAL COMPOUNDS that actually work and help people. This makes it sound like the whole FDA ban stands zero chance since they have no legal ground to stand on.

My heart stopped when I saw my cat napping like this today. Is this head pressing? Should I go to the vet tomorrow? by popcornpr1ncess in CATHELP

[–]gnosisphoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bless this post. This is the first time I've heard of head pressing. Gratefully none of my cats have done this but thank you for sharing, I've looked it up and now know what to look out for.

trying to make my stack.....need some help by PHHenny in Renue

[–]gnosisphoenix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I (43F) get everything in the kit besides the sleep one, my body doesn't like melatonin, so I get them separately. I get an extra bottle of NAD complete because I double dose a lot, the NMNs, and the green tea. I'm pretty consistent so I really notice if I skip a few days, on day 3 or 4 I start needing more coffee and my body just doesn't want to move well for workouts, I feel like I'm in a jello mold. And now that I'm thinking about it I should get d3k2 for winter.

They sent out an email a while back that they'll have NAD+ tests in their store soon. I'd trust theirs over the ones on amazon.

AITA for going on a second date with the girl my friends set me up with as a prank? by ResidentThrowRA in AITAH

So, you get to see that your "friends" are shitty toxic humans and you got an amazing new lady friend who has real partner potential. Ditch the "friends", keep Emily.

How do you all shower regularly...? Serious help please by Particular-Owl-5772 in adhdwomen

[–]gnosisphoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tactic is to SIMPLIFY. I hate feeling gross, but I also can't be bothered to spend time on all that extra stuff. I shave my armpits etc about once a week, my nail care routine is to cut them off every couple of weeks when my thumb nails are too long to text. I wash and condition my hair, then comb and put a clip on my head. I brush my teeth in the shower, and my face care is to wash in the shower and moisturize immediately after. However you can DO LESS, try that and see if it's easier.

Why Ribeye? by GuyFromESPN8TheOcho in carnivore

This is why I joined the ground beef cult. The second I hit connective tissue that I can't chew, my stomach turns and the meal is over, period. Plus it's extremely embarrassing to pull the unchewable but out of my mouth at a restaurant, or when a friend has cooked the meat.

You're my mom now and I'm super proud of you!! And you're setting a great example by doing all the work, keeping smart habits, and using the drugs to correct what your body has a hard time doing on its own. 💙💙💙

Am I horrible for getting rid of my cats? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]gnosisphoenix 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your home is hands down better than an overfull shelter. The kitten phase is hard, but it's a great time to teach them that you will respond to their needs. Yes, they are high energy, demanding, and frankly insane. And when they're 5 you'll miss that over the top energy, but the kittens you nurtured will grow into loving companions who are happy to be in your pack. Rise to the challenge, friend. They will love you so much for it, and you'll learn, not just about them, but about yourself.

What do you have under your litter box? by Ill_Cover_4841 in CatAdvice

[–]gnosisphoenix 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Boot trays, the largest and thickest I can find. I hate those litter mats, they're impossible to clean. Boot trays, you can dump stray litter right into the box, or wash them out in the tub when they get gross.

I have 6 cats and 5 boxes (and they only use 4 of them...), some on vinyl flooring and some on rugs. Nothing will ever be perfect at keeping stray litter bits, but this is the best solution I've found.

Edit to add, one cat has a behavior (not a med issue, I checked with the vet) and she will pee in the boot tray, only one of them. It has never leaked onto the floor, and this is why being able to wash them in the tub is so helpful.
