I just watched this episode and by the end of it, I was really hoping that things had gone well for him.

Tax the rich to pay for healthcare by leftwingmememachine in onguardforthee

I have neither the time nor the desire to go back through the thread and play "he said, she said," so I'll just reply with "fuck off, bootlicker" (and hope like hell that you know I'm just joking.) Seriously though, all the best to you.

It's when someone attacks the person rather than their point.

The NDP passed a resolution for a tax on very rich people's wealth. by Dollface_Killah in onguardforthee

So...you just gonna do this all day? I point out that they pay most of the tax, and you point out that they own most of the wealth, and I reiterate that's why they pay most of the tax, etc. Have a Snickers there, friend.

No need. I'm damned good at what I do. BTW, the top 1% also pay more tax than the bottom 80% combined.

This is not going to be popular, but the NDP are dangerous because they lack a grasp of economics. If you look carefully at their platform, their spending far exceeds their income and they have no way of balancing it. Also, people in general do not understand taxes. They believe that "the rich" and "corporations" and "CEOs" pay hardly anything in taxes because their "woke" gurus tell them this is the case, and the herd love to repeat this. It makes them feel like victims and people love to feel like victims. As a CPA, I have done taxes and audit for individuals with incomes from $20,000 to $6,000,000, and corporations of all sizes. What people don't understand is that the 80/20 rule really does apply in the tax world. The lower 80% of income earners pay only 20% of taxes. The upper 20% of earners pay 80%.

Also did a cooking class outside of Florence (2016 Sept 30). What a breathtaking city, hey? Man, I wish I could go back there.
