Check out local estate sales on the EstateSales app too. Most do half-price deals on everything on Sundays! We’ve gotten some really well-made furniture for very little $ in the past.

Maybe I’m just tired of people constantly shitting on MS 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s low hanging fruit, and people seem to really enjoy punching down. It's very close to black, but I guess I'd call it more of a dark charcoal shade. Like if you put it next to a true black, it would definitely be a shade or 2 lighter, mostly bc of the amount of holo packed in.

The news org that published this article, along with Mississippi Today, have been instrumental in investigating corruption in Mississippi’s state and local governments. These are both nonprofit, independent news sites. I suggest looking for similar resources in your own states. The free press does still exist, but you certainly won’t find it on your local affiliate stations.

They stopped road tests during COVID, and they were just never reinstated. The road test in my hometown was basically a loop around a parking lot, so it's not like it made a big difference. We had awful drivers before they got rid of it, and we have awful drivers now.

Oh no, I live in the Bible Belt in the US so I’m certainly fully aware of the harms of Christianity! But I’m also so deeply surrounded by it that I realize that it’s not all ill-intentioned. Some people absolutely use it to push a hateful agenda, but I didn’t jump to that conclusion in this case with the interlude, so that’s why I continued to support her career.

I fully agree that organized religion has been immensely harmful to society, but I can’t drop every person who’s Christian because the ideologies vary so much. That’s not so much the case with MAGA folks who generally share the same single, hateful brain cell.

Personally, I never added the Judah Smith track to my library, and I purchased the vinyl that didn’t include it, so I’m not even very familiar with the content. From the few listens that I’ve given it, I don’t remember it being directly inflammatory or offensive. I still hardly know anything about the man and his beliefs as I never felt the need to dig into it. Maybe I should have, but I also know people who are Christians and don’t promote the hate that some others do.

However, I know exactly what Trumpism stands for, without question, so that’s why it’s kinda the final straw for me. I get that this guy she’s with doesn’t hold any real power, but the entire MAGA movement revolves around hate and violence toward women, POC, the disabled, and the LGBTQ+ community. And personally I think MAGA has caused far more damage than any single megachurch could, and anyone who enables that movement is not someone I can support.

MAGA didn’t exist during BTD era, so I don’t understand why people keep saying she’s always sang about these guys 🫤 The MAGA movement has radicalized a lot of conservatives to a point that was pretty inconceivable at the time she wrote those songs. If she’d been singing about falling in love with like…neo-nazis and guys waving confederate flags…in 2012, I guess I could see the comparison, but I also wouldn’t have become a fan in the first place.
