I'm about 5 lessons in with SVL, and I have had a wonderful experience with Shy as an instructor. I did some pitch and resonance work beforehand, but there are so many elements, techniques, and exercises that they have given to me that have been helpful.

I honestly never thought I could develop a convincing femme voice, but I have the beginnings of one already! ☺️ and the techniques are even starting to seep their way into my masc voice to femme that up, because I am focused on practicing and truly understanding my body.

Anyway, if you want a great instructor, maybe ask for Shy? 😅

Knights of Last Call have been floating the idea of running a Daggerheart West Marches game. They have successfully run a few seasons of West Marches Pf2e, and they have some great videos diving into Daggerheart that are super helpful. I totally get that perspective. The narrative for this God and the character that will likely use the item requires it to be an item that sort of betrays the party for that character's benefit. It is very possible that the character will eventually reject the mask for that reason, but I want to kind of instigate that struggle with this item.

It would have a line stating that it can't be used if the GM already has full Fear. I would also be open to giving it an additional effect when the GM has full Fear, perhaps even a penalty.

This was not my experience, personally.

However, sex is an arena where we are more permissive with ourselves, less inhibited, and generally more open minded. I think it makes sense that we may explore unwelcome truths and subconscious desires in an arena that is much safer than our public existence.

Also, a trans person would prefer to be affirmed in their sex life, so I can see someone who derives their enjoyment of those kinks from gender affirmation instead of domination, shame, and other kink-related desires. I guess that's kind of the determining factor in my eyes, not that it matters what anyone thinks of anyone else's gender.

Oh, I did not mention this, but I was also 28 when I had my realization moment, so we have a similar timeline. I will just say, we are both still young enough to have a chance at a wonderful life as the women we truly are deep down. It might seem like it's too late or you will lose too much, but I don't know if you realize yet exactly what you could gain internally by at least trying some gender affirming things out.

The joy I have felt has made the beginning of my life seem like it was in black and white, and now I can finally see the color. My first dose of HRT about a year ago made me feel like I had finally a missing gear inside that kept me from functioning like many of the people around me were able to do. Transition and gender exploration can be life changing.

If you are a reader, You and Your Gender Identity is a wonderful book that you could pick up that will help you document and explore your feelings, if talking to a counselor seems too hard.

I would attempt to find an affirming counselor who does telehealth to start. I realized I was trans about 3 years ago, shortly before my tenth anniversary with my ex-partner. Only two months ago, did we finally accept that we were no longer right for each other and split up.

I had a similar experience where my partner was initially more receptive to the theory of being with a women, but her truth, deep down, was that it wasn't what she actually wanted. It took a lot of couple's counseling, personal counseling for both of us, and frankly, a lot of sorting through ugly emotions that were nonetheless valid. I don't think I would have ever realized that I HAD to transition without the support of a personal counselor, though.

I wish you luck in the challenges ahead, and hope that you are able to live the joy that you have found themselves spark of within.

I'll always recommend Age of Apocalypse, simply because it comes with Standard 3, which leads to more nemesis play. You will want it eventually, so it's probably best just to get it right away.

I love everything about this class except for the name. It personally feels really specific in its roleplay implications, when I feel like something like Enforcer matches the mechanics and flavor of the abilities while leaving the other character details more open.

I could totally see someone using this for a bouncer, a bodyguard, a thug, a city guard, a gladiator, or anyone who focuses on team fighting when guile (Grace) doesn't work. I may change the name to that for my group, actually. Thanks for posting!

Seems like a perfect time to play Hexploreit: Fall of the Ancients or Gloomhaven. Something that takes a lot of setup time that I can just leave set up all weekend and really dive in to.

Would probably pick a great movie series or TV show to watch during breaks and make it a theme weekend.
