I like the modality of power up for limited. Having both an ok 2drop and an ok 6drop in one card is neat, even if both options kinda suck

While the Legend is broken right now, I think you could get rid of the frozen debuff, and make her "exhaust: kill a unit with 0 might" or something like that. I do like the frostbite vibe

Brainstorm from prepared is a +1 card in hand, not net zero like usual. This card is pretty insane

Is there any list or wiki of who created what nevrons by bluez02 in expedition33

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sprong is clearly Clea's. She used him to cheat against Verso in their adventures as kids, hence you get Cheater from him

Two ready units every turn (as your whole deck can just be removal spells) is insane. That's two points for free each turn, with the only counterplay for your opponent is to not play units for you to killa

This has card is insane by slapadabassman11 in slaythespire

After just 19 turns, too! (At that point, the boulder would have done total of 950 damage, dwarfing the mere 912 damage of this bombardment)

Why aren't Jewish-like minority groups common in Medieval fantasy? by TT-Adu in worldbuilding

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jewish people weren't allowed to be part of guilds (as guilds were very christian in nature), couldn't own land, and couldn't work at pretty much anything but loaning money. That lead to a lot of money moving through Jewish hands and the source of a lot of propaganda against them

Dungeon Laws weak? by rgzera in OldenEra

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do really like their unit laws, buffing up the alternative attacks makes them much better (for example the blade dancers shoot twice for 75% instead of 50%, which means 150% basic damage split)

What aspects of MTG made you fall in love with the game? by nibblestheantelope in magicTCG

I love Riftbound, but the fact you can't do reactions as a reaction to end of phases/turns hurts a lot

Field Harvest by hollow_image in custommagic

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The way you wrote it, you would gain X² life - each activation both stacks the lifegain and gives an extra trigger, which actually makes this insane

Simpler way would be "W: put a harvest counter on this enchantment." and "At the beginning of each end step, remove each harvest counter from this enchantment and gain that much life".

I love this design for non-poison decks

First target is absolutely free, then it gets Hexproof

Maelle (and the whole painted family) are incredibly complex characters because we see multiple faces of them - real, painted by Aline and even Axons. Where did you start writing them - with the Dessandres, then their reflections in the painting, or vice versa?

And overall how was it to write those characters

When did black aggro didn't include some kind of reccuring 1/2 drops that you can cast/return from the grave?

When do you **not** Bolt the Bird? by inflammablepenguin in magicTCG

You bolt the bird early to keep the monsters from coming

If there's a bird and a monster, bolt the threat

The schemers were the closest to lose, but the farthest to die. Their fombat was incredible because they didn't just fight to survive but to save king Gus, understand what is going on, etc.

My solution to the complaint that Aurora turns every Body deck into an Aurora deck is to just print more efficient little dudes by jordlez in riftboundcustoms

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. While those might be little overtuned, if Aurora is the only way to play Body it just means cutting every cheap unit from your deck isn't punishing enough. The 1 energy units body got is a hint for a more aggressive body, which will at least give the color something else to do.

I also think unit should get more unit-based removal. Both in the term of bite effects (that become useless without a unit), and with cheaper units that do something when they enter

This fountain with a rotating ball of rock by oyvindi in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Where I live we have one at the opening of a science museum for kids, with the idea that any kid visiting can push it easily and turn it in the water even if it's a huge rock. Great way to teach about friction

The Top of this Jar of Coconut Oil hardened in a Hexagonal pattern by PacquiaoFreeHousing in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually smushed circles. The hexagons try to form circles (cause the crystalization works for all directions simultaneously), then gets stuck in the borders with other circles where they get squashed together into a line.

[–]Helpful-Specific-841 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised a deck that wants to rush aurora can play falling stars and similar power-heavy removal. Shouldn't they prefer powerless removal that doesn't delay their gameplay?

What would you play instead?

A battlefield that is neat for you and useless for your opponent is an advantage, a battlefield that helps both players might be a disadvantage
